United KingdomThe guides were excellent. I was taken into the park by Roy who knew all the bird calls and where to find them, whilst Bobby is a veteran and seems to know everything and everyone associated with wildlife! The food was good as well and the beer cheap so no complaints there

HungaryStaying at Tangkoko Macaca was a fantastic experience. The location is perfect, just minutes from the entrance of Tangkoko National Park – and we even had black macaques wandering into the garden a few times, which was magical to witness.
The accommodation was comfortable and peaceful, providing a great base for exploring the park and relaxing between tours.
A special highlight of our stay was our guide, Patrick. He was incredible – deeply passionate about nature, knowledgeable, and respectful of the environment and local culture. He didn’t just help us spot wildlife – he also gave us valuable insight into the local perspective and conservation efforts, which made the experience truly meaningful.
Thanks to Patrick and the rich biodiversity of the park, we saw tarsiers, a blue tarantula, black macaques, and a hornbill – it was like stepping into a real-life nature documentary.
If you're looking for a comfortable place close to nature, with a guide who genuinely cares, Tangkoko Macaca is the perfect choice. I left feeling inspired and grateful.

AustriaLovely family run home stay very close to the entrance of the national park. Cute little room with AC (which you absolutely need in this area), fantastic breakfast, and we also took part in 2 tours (morning and evening) run by the host. Aria knows a lot about the park and treats the animals with respect (not chasing wild animals) can highly recommend staying at the gallery guest house
