Charming hotel in an unbeatable location, an absulute gem, very cosy and beautifully renovated respecting the original bones of the house - it is one of the oldest in town and very interesting historically. I felt right at home there and Steinunn is a very friendly host, loved chatting to her and the rest of the staff at breakfast, which was btw excellent and way beyond my expectations too. I will definitely be back on my next stay :)

Guesthouse Aurora was a great landing spot in Reykjavik: close to restaurants, Hallgrimskirkja, Laugavegur, and the waterfront. We were in Reykjavik only one night before taking off for the ring road, and were grateful to be able to see so many things in the city in the time we had. Aurora offered easy on-street parking, staff that were kind and helpful, and Icelandic breakfast that I appreciated for being a good solid start to the day while also being quick and not too large.

I was only one night but had everything I needed. Is easy to park and the neighborhood is beautiful and quiet.The house is what you expect for a "Icelandic traditional house" and perfect for those we don't want a hotel chain. The staff is friendly, and offered me cake and coffee. hopefully I'll be back one day to the amazing iceland Thank you Blue House team :)
