Staying at Guesthouse da Idolina dal 1946 in Montalcino was an absolute delight. Fulvia, the host, was exceptional—attentive, welcoming, and genuinely dedicated to making our stay memorable. The guesthouse itself is a gem, beautifully preserved and lovingly maintained over the decades. It perfectly balances tradition with modern comfort. The room was cozy and elegant, with an outstanding bed and mattress that offered the most restful sleep I've had—better than even the finest 5-star hotels. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, and the private bathrooms were well-equipped with everything needed. The shared kitchen and sitting area added to the charm, providing a warm and inviting space to enjoy tea, coffee, and delightful cookies. The location was ideal, within walking distance of everything in Montalcino. Fulvia went above and beyond to arrange nearby parking and recommended fantastic local restaurants just steps away for a perfect Tuscan dinner. Breakfast was another highlight. Guests can choose to enjoy it in the guesthouse or at one of two nearby bars. We opted for Belvedere Bar, where we sipped espresso and savored cornetti while taking in breathtaking views of the classic Tuscan countryside—a truly unforgettable experience. Guesthouse da Idolina dal 1946 is an extraordinary blend of tradition, comfort, and genuine hospitality. Fulvia’s care and attention to detail make this a place I would return to without hesitation. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Montalcino and the other places nearby!
