I came early to leave my luggage there, and they offered to have it ready in my room when I come back. They did exactly that. My room had good facilities and a balcony with a surprisingly nice view.

The location is just perfect, just one stop away from Chubu Airport by express train, about 10 minutes walk from Tokoname station, and in the middle of Tokoname famous pottery footpath route. Close to many cute cafes and pottery workshops, and Valor supermarket just few minutes walk. The old house turned into guesthouse is so lovely and cozy, love the atmosphere, fully equipped kitchen, friendly owner Shota who speaks very good English and willing to share about everything. Had a wonderful two night stay here and nice chat with other guests, defintely would love to stay again there.

Mike & his wife are very thoughtful hosts, I also appreciate how Mike offered pick up and drop off at the station! you have to understand that this is not like the city where transportation is very easy, so it was such a nice gesture. The place itself felt like home, it was quiet and all our needs were provided, if there was anything to note, I think it will be more hooks, hangers or place at the bathroom to place our dry clothes, towel. but overall it was such a pleasant short stay and convenience all throughout. will definitely stay again if i happen to attend anything near the area. thanks mike!

I arrived a bit late at night and had trouble finding the entrance to the building, but when I heard the staff talking inside the cafe and knocked on the door, they kindly showed me how to get inside my room. If anyone needs to stay close to Tokoname station or wants to try the local pottery walk, this is a great place to stay! Only about a 10-minute walk from the station and basically on the route of the pottery walk.

The owner is so nice & kind, he picked us in the station back & forth which is not usual to any business owners for free, the room is clean , the bed is so comfortable, the shower is good , we were able to walk to Nagashima Spa land about 5mins,definitely were going back here again.

Just to set the expectation, this is a guest house, not a hotel. Rooms were on the 2nd floor and the private bathrooms are outside in the next building on the 1st floor instead of being in the room. There is a shared bathroom to pee on the 2nd floor but if you want to have a bath, you'll have to go to the 1st floor. The kitchen is ok, he had water boilers and microwaves that's for sharing with the other room. The host himself is a really really cool guy with a garage filled with an F1 car and Lamborghini. He also offered to drive us to Nagashima Spa Land and to the nearest station when we checked out which was really kind of him. He is also really friendly and had a short chat about what he did for a living, etc. They have a washer and dryer unit at the 1st floor but you'll have to pay to use it.
