We’ve stayed in many guesthouses over the years and while most of the time the families are friendly at this stay we encountered such a genuinely kind and warm family beyond what we’ve ever experienced. Spending time here with the family is one of our most memorable experiences in Kyrgyzstan! The kindness of this family is really very special! Our room was very spacious, bed very comfortable, a great shower with hot water, wifi was sufficient and a room that did not feel cold. Plus everything was very clean!! The walk into town is 15min and if you need help with anything such as getting to the bus or anywhere they’ll be able to help you figure things out and if they are available maybe even get you there. We stayed for 2 nights and on the second night we had an incredible dinner with the family and other guests…..great conversation and lots of good laughs. It was like sitting around the family table! We highly recommend you book here, you will be glad you did.

How can I even describe a stay this perfect? Imagine enjoying a homecooked breakfast prepared by the Ordo owners daily, just for you. Every morning, it's different: fried eggs sunny side up with sausage one time; crepes stuffed with crumbly cottage cheese another; oats generously topped with dried fruit and walnut the next day. Then, nourished and itching to explore, you go out. The city lies wide open before you, cradled by snow-capped mountains on all sides. Each generous treasure of Karakol, from the Dungan Mosque to the glorious Orthodox Church, to the ethnographic museum detailing the breathtaking history of the region, is within arm's each and walking distance. (And if you ever get famished, the immaculate ashlan-fu is just five minutes away on foot.) We were fully prepared to have a 10/10 time in Karakol. Ordo Hotel made our trip 11/10.

    Such friendly people, we loved this place! Our room had a private (and european seated) toilet and a warm shower - which was such a pleasure to have. The beds were nice, the accomodation was quiet and in walking distance of the centre. In the neigborhood you'll find an amazing coffee place where you can have a great dinner as well. Thank you for the hospitality, hopefully we'll meet again.

    A cosy and spacious room with a comfortable bed. The guesthouse is very quiet, hosted by a kind and friendly older couple. Very centrally located to Karakol. There are good cheap food options in Karakol so we didn't cook but the kitchen is available for guests. Our host was kind enough to let us store luggage while we were trekking.

    Andre and his family are lovely hosts, including his friendly cat. Nice villa, not really central but in a quiet residential area close to river (20mins walk or less than 5mins drive to city centre). Convenience store and a pharmacy right next to the house if needed. Nice fresh homemade breakfast.
