The location is a very short walk to the National Park gate. Very clean and comfortable accommodation 😍 The host was exceptionally friendly and helpful. For example, our rental car had a flat tyre and he himself repaired it during our jungle walk. For that walk he organized a very capable guide and we can highly recommend this activity. All in all we were very pleased with our stay at the Evergreen Villa.

We really enjoyed our short time in the rainforest. The house is sorrounded by ricefields and you can just sit and watch the birds all day. We went on a rainforest walk with Thisarn, which was really great and enjoyed the rest of our time relaxing in the nature. The food we got served was delicious, we fell even more in love with Sri Lankan cuisine. Thisarn also organized a driver for us to get us to our next location, which was really helpful! Thank you for everything!

Our stay at Woodland Hideaway in Sinharaja was truly memorable. Mr. Chanaka went above and beyond by offering us a complimentary night view tour, which was an absolute highlight. We were amazed by his incredible ability to spot various native birds — his knowledge and keen eye made the experience truly special. The meals were not only delicious but also uniquely prepared, giving us a taste of local flavors. The hospitality was exceptional, and Mr. Chanaka’s warmth and friendliness made us feel right at home. We can’t wait to return for another visit! If you want a 5 star resort, this is not your place! If you want a river view with birds, a friendly chef/manager and a clean, basic stay- stay here! Fan, air conditioning and a clean room with hot water. No other people were staying; this suited us as we could enjoy the view, birds and relax. The boys organised cold beer for us- ask the price, give them the $ and you have beer. Overall, a great place in a secluded spot. There might be water on the floor after a shower but this. Dies overnight. If this sounds great, go for it! The more expensive places are probably similar but we could have stayed have stayed longer. Thanks to Chef, Manager Akila. Very good spotter of birds and a friendly person with lots of local knowledge.

Nice,spacious, clean rooms. Very hospitable host. Had long & enjoyable chats with him. The cook who doubles as the general worker is extremely helpful & ever smiling - always around to help us carry bags or serve us tea.

As the name suggests it is located amidst attractive scenery. Badulla my host is a botanist of repute and his rain forest walks are not to be missed. In addition super food and endless helpfulness.

The place was incredible, one of our favourites stays in Sri Lanka. They were very flexible with us with the tor schedule (because we only had one day to did it) and very fair with the prices. The room was very clean and the swimming pool amazing!
