Chatau and his family are incredible hosts. We arrived on Christmas Eve and were invited to a Christmas dinner that they prepared for the whole hotel. He helped us during the week we stayed there with everything from renting scooter to surf lessons for a good price. He is genuinely interested and wants you to have a good stay. Even though the accommodation is quite close to the busy road we couldn’t hear it from our room. The accommodation is also very clean, spacious and totally worth the money. Would definitely stay here again if going to Midigama. Thanks again for everything!

This was by far the best place we have stayed in Sri Lanka. Rooms were amazing. Everything worked perfectly. The property is very quiet and peaceful. The host goes out of her way to make sure everything is perfect. Breakfast was delicious too.

We liked the place so much we extended our stay there :) The location is great, a short walk to the beach. We had a private kitchen and a communal fridge and washing machine, also a communal terrace which was lovely to sit at as the house is surrounded by jungle. The room was big and clean and the bed was super comfy, we slept really well! We asked for softer cushions and they gave them to us straight away. It’s a new place so everything is clean and new and the owners are so willing to help with what they can, even though their English is very basic, but it’s easier to communicate with them via whatsapp. They gave us an afternoon snack one day as a surprise which was lovely!

Samee's place is beautiful, very clean and peaceful. Located on the first floor, you get a nice breeze during the day. The ceiling fan is very good so it's not hot a night and you sleep well. The bed is very comfortable and massive! The kitchen is great and the fridge is big and very clean. Internet works perfectly well. Samee the owner was always available to help us, recommended nice place to eat ect...the beach is less than 5mns walk! This place is a little gem!

I had a private room and enjoyed the shared, fully-equipped kitchen. The homestay is located just a short walk from the beautiful Midigama Beach. Location was good as it is right in front of two surfspots. Rooms were tidy with clean towels and mosquito net around the bed. The corridor was also really clean as it was sweeped at least 20 times per day by the host Sasi. Outside chilling areas were comfortable and the rooftop patio had a nice view. Host Sasi is really amazing as he is extremely helpful, nice and friendly. Everything worked well, whatever we needed was provided by the host. Thank you Sasi for amazing stay at Laguna Surfing Stay!
