The staff at this family-run hotel went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The room was super clean and bathroom spacious and luxurious. We enjoyed a complimentary foot soak which was amazing after having climbed Mt Kinabalu. There is a lift which is convenient for moving luggage up to the room.

Thanks to wondeful staff Alif(hope I got your name right🙂), the experience here at Seraya hotel was amazing. It was my first time in Kotakinabalu and Malaysia, and you made me fall in love with this place and country. Again, thank you Alif! The location is so convenient and the bed is really comfortable. Very clean and comfortable, shared bathroom was always clean and had shower gel in there for use. Location is right next to restaurants and shops but a bit out of the way. Breakfast is included, you can choose 2 local pastries from the cafe downstairs which we enjoyed. Also I want to give a special mention to a young girl who works in the cafe downstairs, we didn’t get her name but she has ginger hair and her English is very good. She always looked out for us and assisted us every morning in choosing a pastry and getting us coffees promptly. She is an asset to the team.
