Panglima resort is easy reachable by boat from Semporna. It is like a retreat with very private huts. It is ideal for a romantic stay for young couples. It is not luxurious, but nice for nature lovers. Eating place outdoor ... sometimes monkeys visit ... and boats will pick you up to visit the other islands for snorkling, diving or hiking. It is an ideal place to recharge some days from daily stress. Ideal to calm down, read books, relax. Nora is a friendly, lively and funny resort manager. She helped on everything needed and made the stay even more valuable.

I absolutely loved my stay here! The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming — I truly felt at home. As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe the entire time. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the café downstairs is just perfect. I highly recommend this place without hesitation — it’s the best spot in Semporna!

Chan Living - thank you for such a wonderful stay!! The staff members were so friendly and exceptional, making us feel welcomed. We had fresh towels everyday and housekeeping was excellent - the property was always kept so clean and tidy. Free shuttle services to the jetty in the morning was so great for island hopping! The breakfast buffet had good variety (especially catering towards ppl with different dietary requirements as my friends were vegan and vegetarian, and delicious too. The boss’ son was a wonderful and friendly individual, super helpful when asked about queries such as local food in Semporna and going out of his way to help us. He was the best!! You could do your laundry here for free as well, which was super helpful! For foreigners travelling alone, this place makes you feel right at home and safe. My friends and I absolutely loved our stay here and definitely recommend this place to everyone.

This was a good stay up to Ameican and European standards! Good wifi for work, a fridge to keep water cold. Located right where the bus drops you off. Washing machine to wash you clothes after /snorkeling/diving. Next door the sell laundry detergent. Adequate breakfast. Staff is nice and speak english. There was an electrical issue one night and they were fair and refunded us some money. The sheet were clean bed was cozy. Make this your first choice if you stay in Semporna town. Easy to island hop grab delivery offers good food options. When we return this would be our first choose. They book up so reserve early. Easy to catch a grab for 71 myr to Tawau Airport Or there is a shared shuttle at the shell station for 35 ringgits per person

We had a wonderful stay! The owner, who also manages the property, was extremely friendly and responsive throughout our visit. Our return flight to KUL was in the late evening, and they graciously allowed us to check out at our own convenience. Such a thoughtful gesture that made our trip even more relaxing. During our stay, Semporna was facing a town-wide water supply issue. Despite this, the owner went above and beyond by providing us with a carton of bottled water while waiting for the third-party supply to be restored. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Semporna. Excellent hospitality and truly considerate service!

We stayed two nights at the water bungalow resort. We are so delighted for the free transportation between the Tawau airport and other hotel despite we did not check-in on the first day upon our arrival to Semporna. All staff of the resort were very nice and helpful. The resort was new and spacious with marvelous view. Sea water there is crystal clear and transparent like glass. The resort provided three meals per day. Dinner was exceptionally delicious with amazing seafood.
