The room was extremely comfortable and the breakfast was lovely!! I was made to feel very at home by my friendly and welcoming hosts, who also provided helpful tips and recommendations for the area. The location is ideal, just a short walk from the town centre. Highly recommended!!

When we arrived our host was out but she had left a note on the door telling us that it was open and we should make ourselves at home. She came back a few minutes later and explained whatever needed explaining. GMH Homestay is a little outside Blenheim so it's not a great area for walking around but one can get into the (small) town in a few minutes' drive.

This property sits in the middle of the vineyards. All within easy reach by car or taxi. It was tranquil and relaxing. We enjoyed the fantastic views with sundowners each evening sitting outside the cottage. The smell of the lavender added to the mood. Afterwards we lit the stove inside. Jason came with more logs and kindling in case we ran out. At a reasonable extra cost we ordered a charcuterie platter one evening. It was generous in size and delicious. Fresh eggs from their own hens were provided in the cottage along with milk, bread, butter/jam/marmalade. On leaving we needed a large taxi for all our luggage for the airport which Jason organised for us the night before we left.

We stayed with another couple so had the b&b to ourselves. Janet, our host, was charming and we thoroughly enjoyed dinner with her and Konrad. The garden is very pretty and there’s a room just for guests leading out to it.

I absolutely recommend this accommodation! Quiet location, private atmosphere, clean, great bathroom and bed! I really enjoyed my nine days in your accommodation. Wonderful spot in the middle of wine country. Reshma is a wonderful host. Free (very decent) bikes included with advice of where to visit for cellar door - we loved Bladen! Overall experience of cycling around the wineries was world class (leaving the car firmly parked in the driveway) Super full cooked breakfasts. Garden setting is lovely with nice covered deck to sit out on. Fun chatting with other guests (several repeat guests, which says it all). Supermarket down the road, and English style pub with good pub grub, just across the road. Fully recommend for your next trip here. We'll be back hopefully!

Mandy and Patrick are super hosts and make you feel like being home there. We got the double rooms with own kitchen and living room, which was a lot of space, well equiped, clean and a nice style. Vineyards were super easy to reach by the bikes and the view around was also fantastic, even at night with moon and stars. We liked the pool very much and the self made olive oil was one of the nice and delicious details. We will go there again, if we come back to NZL.
