We arrived quite late from Auckland airport but Alan welcomed us warmly. The room was comfortable with coffee, tea and homemade cakes. Nice spacious room with a big bathroom, and a pretty balcony and terrace overlooking the pretty garden. The small town is a couple of minutes away with plenty of options to eat. We had a delicious home cooked breakfast with many options all of which were great. Alan gave us some very good tips for travelling and things to visit on our way up North.

I have never rated an accomodation 10/10before …..because it is not possible ( I thought ) If you enjoy well curated accomodation, sleeping to the sound of the waterfall, great views and a quiet but central location …. I recommend Matakana Waterfall Hideaway

Very handy to go snorkelling near Goat Island. Penny was very kind and did everything to make our stay comfortable. Lots of rooms to use , plenty of breakfast.There was lots to do in the area which unfortunately we didn’t have time for.

Perfect location, very close to beach, nice area to walk. The property is very quiet, full of trees and birds. Nice comfy bed, big bathroom and well set up. Very reasonable price so we could stay for 8 days. Friendly, lovely people,very helpful.
