This was honestly the best place we have ever stayed at. Justin and his team went above and beyond for everything during our stay and nothing was too much for them. A free shuttle service is offered to and from the local area which saved us loads of money, the breakfasts were delicious and the tour recommendations were fantastic.

The owner Christelle is lovely. She offered me an extra night stay and refunded my first night after I couldn’t get to the island for the first 2 nights of my booking because of a typhoon stopping the ferries from running from Cebu. The hotel room is located on a quiet dirt track, only a 5 minute walk to the main area of Panglao and the beach. The room was modern and very clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and there was very good water pressure and air conditioner. The owners live on the first floor so I felt very safe and secure that there was always someone around.

We had an amazing experience at Pitaya. Great hosts, polite, friendly and very accomodating. Happy to help with any request you may have. Beautiful garden, great place to relax. Spacious room and very confortable bed. Everything was clean! You need a motorbike but you need it anyway if you want to visit the island. We visited the chocolate Mountains which was great. We ordered dinner every day at their place for a good price and great taste. Very much recommended!

Don’t let the lack of reviews put you off! This place is new and we had a great stay. Good location away from the noise, but only 7 minute walk to the centre. The road is a dirt road, but only a tiny section got muddy when it rained, so very easy to traverse. Also somewhat well lit. The staff were incredibly friendly and so lovely. They’d honestly do anything for you. We were running late for our ferry and they drove us themselves to the port. The room was really clean and the place is new. You also get a bug light in the room, which gives you peace of mind against mosquitoes. You’re also provided a kettle with coffee and some shampoo and body wash. The shower was on the colder side, but the pressure was amazing, best we’ve had so far. You are near local families, so expect some animal noises but it wasn’t too bothersome.

The stay was very good. Beautiful clean rooms and very nice that it is so close to the pool. Unfortunately we had to leave 1 night earlier, and they helped us with everything; the picking up of the scooters, transfer, etcetera. Great service! Thanks a lot, we would definitely recommend staying here.

The staff were friendly and helpful from the beginning, including when I could borrow a towel to go to the beach before my room was ready for check-in. The room was small but very cozy and comfortable, and the balcony on the entrance was just wonderful, as well as the swimming pool. I appreciated the fact that I could book a tricycle through the hotel for an early departure from the Tagbilaran ferry terminal, and that they offered different activities and a massage service to the rooms.

a pleasant stay at ICE-BEAR-BAR/ Hacienda de Fredensborg! It was a positive surprise to stay in such a nice resort with very clean superior swimmingpool, the very nice an helpful staff - all in all good meals (whatever you ordered) - a warm welcome and a friendly together (you felt like in a family home). Room was tidy clean, hot shower and always fresh made smell from bedsheet and towels. I liked it very much to hang out my laundry and ready to start with dry towel at next morning already. Pool is lovely fired with differeent color-lights at night and invites you to swim at evening hours. They rent different sized motorbikes including helmet! - and you can choose for your own comfort. Bike-parking is under a roof; location was perfect for me - as its more closed to Tagbilaran (in 7minutes to City) - which offers you the better seaview in evening with plenty local restaurant, barbecue, live-bands and local nightlife! Its a 15min drive to Alona and 20min until end of Panglao-beaches. I prefered the trips to main-Bohol... in an hour to Chocolate hills or 1.5 hours to Anda... in 2.5 hours to Ubay. my 100% recommendation to choose Ice-Bear-Bar again during my next stay!! .. its worth the price including breakfast...
