Loved This Place! Stay Here!!! Property Owner/Host Marcus is wonderful! He upgraded our room upon arrival. Great and helpful information on Idlwilde Inn's website regarding house and grounds, Watkins Glen. Check it out before you book. Beyond charming property, delicious breakfast, coffee and tea available 24/7, within walking distance from town (it is on a hill, so anyone with impaired mobility would need to take a car), convenient parking.

The house was so cozy and relaxing. Never have been able to sleep so well in a place other than my home.

The host (Kim) was lovely, she was friendly and helpful. She cooked fresh cakes and cookies daily and left them there for guests to help themselves. She checked for allergies/food requirements when we arrived and then prepared fresh breakfast each day based on the requirements. She knows the area really well and helped us with places to walk/ visit (the winery tour was great). The room was quite small but it was fine for a few nights and the bathroom was good. The communal area has tea / coffee making facilities including tasty creamers 😁 it also has a large fridge/freezer and microwave for guests to use. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this homely place to others.

Breakfast was perfect - Dining with the other guests made it really special, talking about our days ahead, and getting to know people from all around the States, as well as the hosts. Watkins Glen, and Lake Seneca - are excellent places - Wineries, Breweries, boat ride, as well as hiking on the trails kept us busy during our stay. Really enjoyable stay
