My sister (21 years old) and I (25 years old) spent four days with Rob and Marianne, and we can only say it was absolutely fantastic. Rob and Marianne are incredibly kind people, and the house is just beautiful. If I can offer one tip, make sure to have breakfast prepared by Rob each morning—it’s delicious! It kept us satisfied until well after lunchtime. We’d give this place 11 stars out of 10! We had plenty of time to do our own thing, but Rob and Marianne also provided wonderful suggestions for things to do nearby. The house is very secure, and we felt safe and at home the entire time. On our last day, Rob took us to a game reserve called Sebuya, which was truly amazing. We had a great meal at some place outside the park, and it was much more enjoyable than the typical safari tour in a jeep. We saw about as much as those on the official safari tour, but we had Rob as our guide, which allowed us to explore the park at a more relaxed pace. While you can never be certain what wildlife you’ll see on a safari, Rob had an incredible sense of where the animals might be, and he even brought binoculars for us to use. It was so thoughtful of him and Marianne to lend us those. The other guests staying at the guesthouse were just as open and friendly as Rob and Marianne, making it an even more fantastic experience. We’re truly sad that we couldn’t stay longer, as our journey had to continue. All in all, this is an amazing place, and we would definitely come back one day!
