We didn't really use the communal areas though, as our room Rosie was a comfy and cosy self contained unit with a kitchen and small sitting area that we were quite happy to stay in for all 3 nights of our stay. Our breakfast supplies were placed in the fridge - eggs, milk, juice, muesli, yoghurt, preserved fruits and a selection of spreads - more than enough for a hearty breakfast ! Check in and check out was simple and fuss free. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience!

The owner thought of every detail to make the guest feel at home during vacation from both the style and practicality. We loved that it had a coffee maker and milk in the fridge for our morning coffee. The 3-d map on the wall was a big hit for us! The chairs to watch TV were super comfortable as was the bed. There were blankets and pillows in the living room. Kitchen had everything needed and more like pot with boiled water. Great idea! They have very tasty tap water there. I would highly recommend The Sounds and hope to return myself. The view is spectacular!

The rooms are very cozy. Bathrooms are newly built and very clean. beds very comfy. The downstairs lounge is great for relaxing. Continental breakfast was very fresh. You can easily walk to all the main sites within Queenstown.

The room was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities I needed, plus it was incredibly convenient - just steps away from the penguin beach. But what truly amazed me was their outstanding integrity. After I checked out, I realized I'd left my treasured watch behind. I was heartbroken, thinking it was lost for good. Imagine my immense relief and gratitude when the hotel manager contacted me! Not only had they found and safely stored it, but they kindly offered to mail it back to me in Hong Kong. The joy of getting my watch back was incredible. This genuine care and going the extra mile for a guest is truly rare and deeply appreciated. Thank you so much! Combined with the lovely room and perfect location, I highly, highly recommend this hotel. An outstanding experience!
