The room was very clean and the bathroom had a lot of space.

The location is also 10 out of 10. 5 min walk to Noojee pub, 2 min walk to the Red Duck cafe, 8 min walk to the Toolshed bar, which were all great.

The place is large, beautifully decorated and it's like a home away from home, exactly like the pictures. Ideal location tucked away too. I would highly recommend it and will definitely be back.

The property is set 15 km from Queen Elizabeth Oval, 15 km from Sacred Heart Cathedral and 15 km from Central Deborah Gold Mine. The property is non-smoking and is situated 12 km from Bendigo Stadium. Wow, wow, wow! This little property deceived me from the outside. We stepped inside the door and everything was perfect. So well fitted out and the decor was delightful with every creature comfort including books, magazines, and board games. A delicious continental breakfast was provided, and they had thought of everything right down to a little container of stewed fruit. We will definitely be back. Thank you :)

At the guest house, each unit is fitted with bed linen and towels. The homestay hosts were extremely kind and welcoming. The breakfast provided was light, healthy and lovely. We also enjoyed the conversation we had with the host, who is an author. We talked about his work and even left the homestay with a copy of his book!

As an added convenience, River Gardens Axedale Pet Friendly Farmstay B&B offers packed lunches for guests to bring on excursions and other trips off-property. Our family had a great stay and really enjoyed the location (as a break whilst cycling O'Keefe Trail). Our dog had the best time ever with the other animals; Wendy and Mark really looked after us.

The guesthouse is delightful, has everything you need including a sauna, spa and pool surrounded by tranquil gardens with the occasional kookaburra cackling from the trees. The hosts Bronnie, Neil and Archie, were very welcoming and made sure we were comfortable and that our stay was a memorable one. Highly recommend staying here, not far from town and all the wineries. Already planning to return.
