We had 3 beautiful days there, the host is great and welcoming. Going with the canoe to explore the river is fun and the food is super tasty. I went with my 12 year old daughter, it's a perfect place to take kids.

Cabana Nativa Paraíso is a recently renovated guest house in Careiro, where guests can makes the most of its indoor pool, garden and bar. This guest house offers air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi. The guest house features family rooms.

At the guest house, the units are equipped with a private bathroom and bed linen. We spent four nights here and loved it. You don’t get the concentration of wildlife to spot as you do in the Pantanal. But what you do get is an immersion in how people live in the Amazon rainforest, as well as some incredible spots. There’s a lot of laughter and fun, rain, sun, river dolphins, caiman, macaques, sloths, amazing bird life, fruits of all shape and sizes, boat trips along the river, sunset swims, walks through the rainforest, piranha fisbing, kayaking, meeting people who live here, the school boat, manioc production, and Lola the parrot. Highlights were seeing huge blue butterflies fluttering across the water, sleeping in hammocks under mosquito nets in the rainforest, and the house caipirinhas.

Vista do Lago Jungle Lodge is a recently renovated guest house in Cajual, where guests can makes the most of its pool with a view, garden and bar. This guest house offers air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony. There is free private parking and the property provides paid airport shuttle service.

With a private bathroom equipped with a shower, units at the guest house also offer free WiFi, while some rooms are equipped with a patio. We had the best time at Vista do Lago Jungle Lodge. The facilities were clean and comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and treated us like we were part of the village / family. The meals were excellent. The activities were well planned, interesting, diverse, and the pacing of the schedule was perfect for our family (which includes three small kids ages 6 and under, including one who naps midday). Our English-speaking tour guide was fantastic and spent more time with us than we ever expected. The lodge is also located in a village that has a number of great sustainability and development projects, so you get to live a bit of the quiet village life while also soaking up all the energy and passion of a community that is creating their own positive impact. Would highly recommend!

At the guest house, every unit comes with a desk. There is a private bathroom with walk-in shower in every unit, along with bathrobes, a hair dryer and free toiletries. At the guest house, units come with bed linen and towels. The hotel and its surroundings are fantastically beautiful. The rooms are very comfortable, if a little basic and the outdoor spaces around the rooms are great. There isn't really a restaurant per se, but there are a number of places around the property where you can have breakfast and dinner and the food is excellent. There is not a big selection of drinks, especially alcohol. If there are particular drinks you like, even beer or wine or any hard booze other than capirxhinas, you need to bring your own. But the juices provided were fresh and there is plentiful bottled water. The staff could not be friendlier or more helpful - although other than our guide who the hotel found for us, hardly anyone speaks anything other than Portuguese. The hotel offers a number of tours and the ones that are in the vicinity of the hotel are fun and interesting and easy. (See below for the only problem regarding this.) Paddling around in a canoe through the surrounding watery passageways through the jungle was great and our guide, Daniel, was incredibly knowledgeable about everything we were seeing and hearing.

The air-conditioned units have a fully equipped kitchenette with a microwave and kitchenware. All units are equipped with a kettle, a private bathroom and free WiFi, while selected rooms are fitted with a terrace and some have garden views. At the guest house, units are equipped with bed linen and towels. It's a cozy place in a good location. We stayed in two different rooms because we extended our stay. One had a lot more space but the bathroom was outside the room. The other one (junior suite) was smaller but still comfortable enough for us. The host was quite helpful and reasonable and answered our questions quite promptly. The location is very good, right next to the Amazon theater and close to many food places for different budgets. The kitchenette doesn't have a stove but there is a microwave, electric kettle, some other equipment and teas and small snacks as well. We found it more than good enough for some simple breakfast. Overall, a really great stay in a cozy place in a nice location.
