The family hosting us was very nice and helpful and the breakfast was great. Especially, the Gallo pinto :) we loved to sit in the pretty garden watching the birds for the breakfast. Closeby are many restaurants and a river where you can swing into the water using a rope. It's fun!

Stayed here two nights and it was a perfect relaxing spot. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed in the small kitchen. The bed is comfortable with good quality sheets and blankets. There is a TV with Netflix for the evenings and the wifi works well. AC is cool and shower is hot. The grounds are beautiful and the small pool was refreshing. The weather was cloudy most of the time we stayed but we did get a quick peek of the volcano. It’s RIGHT THERE. What a beautiful view! I spent a lot of time reading on the small terrace and bird watching. It is a bit out of La Fortuna, but we had a rental car and it was nice to stay away from the hustle and bustle.

Σε απόσταση 31 χλμ από το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Εθνικό Πάρκο Poas, το Alexander b&b προσφέρει καταλύματα με αυλή, καθώς και κήπο. Πολύ καλή τοποθεσία, κοντά στο αεροδρόμιο. Ο ιδιοκτήτης ήταν πολύ φιλόξενος και το δωμάτιο ήταν άνετο και καθαρό!!

To Nomads Family Rooms, Fortuna Town βρίσκεται στη Φορτούνα, σε Alajuela, και παρέχει καταλύματα με δωρεάν WiFi και δωρεάν ιδιωτικό χώρο στάθμευσης. Best place we stayed in Costa Rica. Full of space and the owners are very kind. Everything was very easy with them, and they even helped us with our laundry. We stayed there to drive to the volcano and Rio Celeste.

Το Lajuela BnB & Hostel προσφέρει καταλύματα σε Alajuela, σε ακτίνα 30 χλμ από Εθνικό Πάρκο Poas και 1 χλμ από Στάδιο Alejandro Morera Soto. Laura is a wonderful host and I really felt like home at her house. She's always there, downstairs, if you need help with anything. It was very interesting to talk to her and learn about life in Costa Rica as these were my first nights after arriving. I was impressed with how well she decorated the house all with her own hands! The breakfast was absolutely delicious and always very fresh - Laura makes that a priority, so you have to tell her when you'll want to have your breakfast and she'll prepare it at the right time just for you. I didn't have any specific plans for the day so she was flexible and agreed to cook it whenever I woke up, I just had to ask 20 minutes in advance. Instead of pre-cooking the breakfast she still made a point of always cooking fresh, which I think is great hospitality. There's not too much to do in Alajuela, but I enjoyed just walking around, the people are very friendly and it's not touristy at all. I really liked the central park and the cathedral in front. There's a bus that goes to San Jose every 15 or 30 minutes (I don't remember, but Laura can always help you with that) where you can visit some nice museums, but I would never choose to stay in San Jose instead of Alajuela. San Jose is one big tourist trap, Alajuela is closer to the airport and a much more authentic place to stay.

Each day started with a nice breakfast, which included fruits, coffee, juice, salchichon and other items. Mr. Owens and his staff were very attentive to our needs. They were also very friendly. We were invited to Christmas dinner, and that was a wonderful experience. The property has a beautiful garden. The place where we stayed was fully equipped, clean and very comfortable. The Terraza B & B is a wonderful place to stay, and we highly recommend you consider visiting it. My husband and I are looking forward to returning there next summer.

It's a great spot for a night while driving around CR. The owner was lovely to talk to (although you need some Spanish to do so). He helped us spot Toucans and sloths and it was really a delightful little place. Breakfast was good in the morning.
