She really made our stay great and even provided us with a late check out as we were leaving at 2pm. It’s low season at the moment so we had the place to ourselves, the kitchen was great, had everything we needed and there’s a supermarket right next door. Also had a fridge in our room which was really handy. We did book our tours in advance but we wish we had of booked through Lily as she provides a discount. We loved the personal touches of people who stayed there signing messages on the wall and the hammocks out the back were cute too.

Stephen the owner made us feel so welcome and at home, always made sure if we needed anything he was there to help. Breakfast had a great selection of fresh and cooked food. He’s created a great space where you can mingle with other guests in communal areas if you like which made it a lot of fun. Room was big and comfortable and very clean. Great location with private parking and wifi.

At the guest house, units come with bed linen and towels. We were two families of 4 each . We had this big house where we could fit in with a extra bed on the floor but it worked fine. You are located in the heart of a farm family owned. The owner is Hermida, a lovely lady who is helped by the whole family, her grandson who speaks english came to welcome us. You have to take the breakfast and diner there, it is like being in Sra Hermida's kitchen. You eat fresh products from the farm. It is just a lovely location and they have so much to tell you about the place. We recommend 4x4 to explore Monteverde and to get to the house but the view is amazing from your lodge. Do not hesitate
