Claudia and Petra responded very quickly to our initial enquiries when booking and went out of their way to make our stay (brief as it was) comfortable and enjoyable. We arrived by bicycle and it was easy to have a secure place for them, and we were able to wash our riding clothes without any fuss. Breakfast was great!

A family owned hotel with a lot of personal touches. It's located on top of the ski slopes, and from the room window you can see the slope. There's a short walk from parking to the main entrance, but if you ski well you can ski directly to the hotel. Breakfast is cosy and delicious. The house manager is very welcoming and speaks great english. There's also a small bar that offers great view of the hill.

A good location for a hassle-free stay in Kurort Altenberg, Pension Hotel Sartor is a guest house surrounded by views of the garden.

My stay at this place was absolutely exceptional – I felt like I was visiting my family home. The atmosphere was incredibly cozy, warm, and peaceful. Everything was perfectly clean, well-maintained, and arranged with great taste and heart. From the very first moment, I could feel the welcoming energy and hospitality. I have to highlight how comfortable the bed was – the mattress was amazing, and I slept like a baby. I woke up feeling well-rested and relaxed, which is rare for me when I travel. One of the biggest advantages of this place is how dog-friendly it is. Upon check-in, I received a small bag of dog food, and I could also use a dog bed and bowls for my pet – such a thoughtful and practical touch. I truly felt that my dog was just as welcome as I was. The host is a lovely, kind, and helpful person. I immediately felt cared for while still having complete privacy and freedom. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for peace, a homely atmosphere, and a warm attitude towards animals. I wish the owners all the best – they are doing an amazing job and have created a place you genuinely want to return to!
