For added privacy, the accommodation has a private entrance and soundproofing. This little apartment was so beautiful! Situated in the garden of a home, it's updated to a high, tasteful standard, with new everything! The owners had fresh artisan bread and diet-restriction-friendly options for our breakfast waiting for us, with jams and butters and milks and juices. Toaster, microwave, fridge, sink, all were in great working order and made for a lovely breakfast for us before we started out again on our walk. There is a pub a few steps outside the door, but there was no noise at all from it in the evening. The windows overlook the churchyard behind the cottage, the owners graciously shared their clothesline with me so I could dry my hiking clothes, and their dogs are lovely! A truly luxurious spot on the Two Moors Way!

We felt comfortable since second one. The room is beautiful and thoughtful arranged. So many things came from local shops and artist, it’s very cool! Lyn made us a delicious homemade breakfast. All units will provide guests with a wardrobe and a kettle. We had a wonderful two night stay at Maplestone. The location was terrific, up a quiet lane, but only a short walk from the center with many restaurant options. The historic house has been beautifully restored, furnished with antiques, creating a home that exudes comfort and relaxation. Our host Alan was so welcoming and engaging, taking the time to make an afternoon tea and sit with us in the quiet garden courtyard asking about our travels and experiences. He shared many nearby options to help us get the most of our visit to the sea. What an amazing retreat in the middle of Shelton Mallet.
