Yujiro, the owner, contacted me even before my stay with amazing recommendations such as restaurants and attractions in Takeo Onsen area. He even assisted in booking a table for me at an marvelous restaurant. Thank you for making my Takeo Onsen experience truly amazing, Yurijo. In addition, the location of the guesthouse in ideal as you can walk to many places such as the famous tree, the library and the onsen itself. Also, the room is spacious and the bed is comfy. I slept like a rock. Before I left, I had an insightful and fun conversation with Yurijo. Thank you again. Hope to see you and stay at the guesthouse again.

Alles op loopafstand. De binnentuin waar we op uitkeken was prachtig. We sliepen er met een baby, dat ging goed. De host was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam, zelfs toen we wat waren vergeten mee te nemen.

AKARIYA Hostel bevindt zich in Karatsu, op 5 minuten lopen van Strand Nishinohama, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, privéparkeren, een gedeelde lounge en een terras. Suzy is an exceptional host and made me feel at home straight away. So lovely. Also all of her tips for everything around were amazing.

Fietsenhuren kan voor 500yen bij de touristinformation aan de overkant. Met de fiets is het 10-15minuutjes fietsen naar het “grote Arita” waar meerdere supermarkten zijn.

Guesuthouse UMINOTO bevindt zich op 14 minuten lopen van Strand Nishinohama en 46 km van Fukuoka Yahoo! Japan Dome, en heeft kamers met airconditioning en een gedeelde badkamer in Karatsu. The guesthouse was perfect in every way. It feels like sleeping at home with a Japanese family (which actually is true). The owner is really friendly. He helped me to find a parking space and explained everything to the littlest detail. When I arrived I got a free mandarin as they are in season now. The room itself was really comfortable and spacious. The beds were not too hard. The kitchen (with free tea and coffee), toilet and bathroom are shared with the other guests. However, since there are only 3 rooms, you almost never have to wait. The location is nice as it's close to the sea and about a 20 minute walk to the city centre and the castle.

Okawachiyama LODGE - Village of the Secret Kilns! bevindt zich in Imari, op 31 km van Huis Ten Bosch en 21 km van treinstation Takeo-Onsen, en biedt accommodatie met gratis WiFi, airconditioning, een... The Lodge was a wonderful place to spend a night in Imari. It's full of character and close to all of the kilns and shops making it easy to explore. Our host greeted us and gave us some tips for onsen and restaurants. There was also a great info book about the house, which was very useful as some of light switches are in funky spots. We really enjoyed our stay here.

The host was informative about local places to visit and kindly brought us tea and a cake. We had an upstairs flat to ourselves complete with kitchen. The rooms were spacious and comfortable.

Saga International Guesthouse Hagakure is gelegen in Saga, op 15 km van Historisch Park Yoshinogari en 49 km van Kanzeonji-tempel. The owner and staff are really nice and warm people! you can ask them anything and they will try to help you as much as they can. Also they can comfortably speak english so there’s no worries of language barrier if you’re overseas traveler
