This was the best value for money stay I had this trip. Highly recommend opting for dinner to be included with your stay. The steamed vegetables and meat with rice and soup was a sumptuous, healthy yet delicious meal especially at the end of a day's big hike. The dorm beds were comfortable, and it was a really nice luxury to get a private onsen experience (especially the outdoor one). Though there was no convenience store around, the hostel has a very good range of snacks, instant noodles, buns at good prices so you don't have to worry about not having food around.

The guest house was so beautiful, the host was so kind and lovely, the location was great, really everything was perfect!

the room was really comfy and cozy with basic amenities provided for you. the owner of the guesthouse was really friendly and helpful during the stay. do mind that she has to run a small shop selling Japanese snacks while having other heavy responsibilities. do support her.

We had a great stay at your place. The location was perfect, making it easy to visit everything we wanted. What made our stay extra special was how friendly and helpful the owner was. He made us feel right at home. The place was also very clean, which made our stay even more comfortable. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice stay!

The best stay in Chikatsuyu! It was the first stay on our Kumano Kodo trail, and it was the very good choice. The host was really nice to us and other guests. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable for stay of 2 people. There is everything you need to have a good rest before the next day of hiking trail. The host cooked amazing dinner and breakfast for us - we tried really good Osaka-style okonomiyaki, Japanese curry and a lot of another things. Also he prepared good lunch boxes for the trail.

We stayed here on our way to Koyasan, the final stop of the pilgrimage.(Shikoku 88temples) I am surprised that it is 3600 yen even if you stay with how many people. We stayed with our pet. Of course, the price will not change. Takaji, the owner, is the nicest person. This place is great if you want to communicate with the local. He also welcomes you even if you don't want it. You can use the sauna and the large jacuzzi. You can see the beautiful night sky in the room. If you want, you can enjoy a special experience beyond just staying.

We had a lovely welcome even though it was a late check in, and he did very well with little English. Even though we were only staying one night, he made us feel very welcome and showed us all the property details. It was a short walk from the train station, with bikes available. The property itself is beautiful and we loved the traditional touches. He even left some Japanese snacks in the room for us. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you!!!!
