Great garden, pool and proximity to the beach. We visited the expensive resorts down the other end but the beaches not as nice and didn't have the same feel. We stayed in Bijou Room 1 for a week and would easily stay again. Really clean, new and homey. Benjamin and the team were extremely polite and helpful. They allowed us to extend our stay and booked us onto the train back to Nairobi and arranged a transfer to Mombosa. You could hire yourself a motorbike or car for the stay but we found it easy enough to flag down motorbikes or tuk tuks as needed. Just make sure you have enough change or ask to stop at the petrol station to change it.

The property is exactly as described, it's cozy, everything is new, beatifully designed bathroom, modern new windows, impeccably clean, beautiful terrace at the the roof, lovely breakfast area. Everyone was genuinely so kind, Alex and his wife are such nice and helpful people! The spa on premises also is great, has very reasonable prices compared to other touristy locations, and is very professional and soothing. I absolutely recommend getting a massage - it was just what I needed and it was a great massage. On top of all that breakfast was wonderful as well, with an incredibly rich plate of fresh fruit that I absolutely loved, scrambled eggs offered every day and properly brewer strong coffee! I am gluten intolerant and Alex made sure I have gluten free options for breakfast as well. The location is good, a few minute walk to a beach, and walkable to a couple nearby beaches (albeit a little longer walk, but I like to walk - you can easily get a tuk tuk though).
