Featuring a swimming pool and tropical gardens, Kijani Hotel is situated on the coast of Lamu Island, along the Indian Ocean. The décor comes with natural handmade furniture, lanterns and ornaments.

The rooms include en suite bathrooms with a shower and complimentary toiletries. The suites also offer views of the sea or garden, as well as a balcony and seating area. Location right on the water, Swahili decor, great staff and wonderful food. I have come here 5+ times! And I will be back!

The house is a traditional Swahili house, with a beautiful terrace and views, a tastefully decorated interior with all the necessary amenities and a well stacked kitchen, which is always a plus with kids. Our host Abadalla is quite simply the best host I’ve ever had - and we travel quite a bit. He was kind, thoughtful and basically carefully planned our entire stay, coordinating tours, recommending awesome local spots and day activities along the way. He took take of it all, from airport pick up, to sunset Dhow, to Lamu tour, he negotiated the prices and made the trip ultra smooth. He also served us beautiful breakfast every morning, with a large variety of fruits, Swahili pastries, omelettes, etc. He also stocked the fridge and made sure we always had drinking water for a very reasonable fee. The nicest and warmest guy, who also shared many special moments with us, and shared stories and history of Lamu as well. We would highly recommend Shela Bliss to anyone. An outstanding experience!

At the guest house, the units come with bed linen and towels. Our stay on Manda’s side at Mangrove House was truly wonderful. The location is unmatched, the peace and quiet are absolute. The staff is wonderful and so is the owner, super attentive and ready to help and share. The house is right in front of Shela and Peponi hotel, just a short boat trip away. Would absolutely go back, and recommend it to everyone going to Lamu!

Popular points of interest near the bed and breakfast include 18th Century Swahili House Museum, Lamu Museum and Lamu Fort. Safari was amazing, both as a guide and a host. He went over and above to help organize activities across the duration of our stay. And the cuisine was wonderful.

It is located 700 metres from Gallery Baraka and offers luggage storage space. The guest house features family rooms.

Situated just 10 metres from the Lamu beachfront, Shella white house features a restaurant and a rooftop veranda with panoramic views of the Indian Ocean.

The rooms all include a balcony with outdoor dining facilities. They also come with a seating area and a refrigerator. Some rooms have an en suite bathroom, and others have access to a shared bathroom and shower. Everything about being in Shella countless times, is my peace. Ambience, Ben was available to assist with anything needed, good hospitality. And not to mention how accessible it was, you will find everything you need within that space from shops to hotels , beach view and sunrise.
