We were greeted with a delicious cold coconut water, in the coconut. We chose the breakfast and dinner option which makes so much sense because the town is a bit of a walk and after a safari all day (4:30 am to 6:30 pm) it is great to have dinner at the homestay. Both dinners we had were excellent, I think the best food we've had in Sri Lanka! They also pack a breakfast to go on your safari day because of leaving so early. When you wake up they have coffee and bananas for you before leaving. Our room was a great size, ac and hot water worked well. The owners are very kind, friendly and even drove us to the bus stop, stayed with us and made sure we got on the right bus. I highly recommend Tissa Rainbow for your stay while exploring Yala National Park, you won't regret it!

From the start of the journey they were supportive in finding the location. The location is situated in such a beautiful area that gives the true Sri Lankan taste. Well maintained and clean place. Manager was great all the staff were incredibly friendly and supportive for us. They went beyond for services for the price we paid. My family would visit this place forever. Decided that this is our place of stay for the rest of trips to katharagama

Also, there are only two rooms, so there’s that feeling of being treated in a special way. A small beach is just next to their garden and it was perfect to chill with the ocean breeze and wave sounds in other times besides the safari.

He picked me up at the bus station, went with me in the evening on a lagoon safari, his wife made the perfect dinner (you can choose from a diverse menu), arranged a perfect early morning safari (and even woke up to make coffee/tea and some snacks!) The cabanas are very adventurous, offering a fantastic view of the lake: if you're lucky you can spot a few crocodiles swimming around! There's no danger and it's very peaceful.☺️ The rooms are simple and tasteful. The hammock is bliss! There isn't any hot water but that's not a problem at all. We only had lunch and the kottu was very, very tasty. They can recommend a safari tour-Janaka- and it was professional and fun.
