I recently had the pleasure of spending a night at a desert camp in the Merzouga Desert, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and the excitement of being in the heart of the desert. The camp is set up beautifully, with traditional Berber tents that are surprisingly comfortable, complete with cozy beds and all the essentials. The real highlight of the experience was the breathtaking sunset over the dunes, followed by a starlit sky that was unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. The dinner served was a delicious mix of traditional Moroccan dishes, and the staff was incredibly friendly, sharing stories and music around the campfire. The camel trek to the camp was an adventure in itself – a great way to experience the vastness of the desert. The place is managed by a berber family, who made our stay perfect: nice welcoming, amazing dinner and breakfast, and finally nice guided tour of the near ziz valley until the old kasbah. Located in a charming, authentic Moroccan village, away from the main hustle and bustle, what Martine and her helpers provide is a truly unique experience. From the beautifully decorated rooms and the peaceful garden setting to the delicious food and genuine hospitality — everything is done with care and heart. Her dogs are very friendly and even joined us on our stroll through the village. We are grateful for the opportunity to discover this oasis. Thank you, Martine!

It was the coolest thing we did in Morocco. It was so beautiful and fun. The accommodations were clean and nice, and the staff was SO HELPFUL! ! ! ! youssf who worked there helped my friend who was sick and he went out of his way to do what he could to help. 10/10, don't skip! !

He cooked us a really delicious meal, one of the best we've had in our time in Morocco. He also made us feel welcome and gave us an insight into life in Agoudal. Overall we had a great experience here and we'd totally recommend it.

The location is great. Just walk 10 minutes across the road and you will enter the desert. The owner offered a very reasonable price for us to ride camels into the desert to watch the sunset and enjoy the golden desert. It was beautiful. We also took the Merzouga 4X4 tour to enjoy the black desert, Berber villages, and African music.

I can definitely recommend this desert camp which is, I guess, a midrange option in Erg Chebbi but with an excellent value for money. We stayed two nights which i wholeheartedly recommend if you have time. The staff are awesome and friendly, the meals are very tasty, the bathroom is clean and always available, sandboarding is available for free. We rode camels on the way there and took a 4X4 on the way back and an took an interesting 3 hour tour to the nomad village and other interesting local sights. There are even lots of animals from cats to goats which makes it super interesting for children.

Το Maison D'hotes Sahara είναι σε Aoufous και έχει κήπο, κοινόχρηστο χώρο lounge, βεράντα καθώς και δωρεάν WiFi σε όλους τους χώρους του καταλύματος. The place is an Oasis of calmness in the Oasis of Ziz. Enjoying the sunset and sunrise on the rooftop balcony is a unique experience! We spent only one night there but wished to stay longer! If you stay there I can recommend to have dinner at this place. The dinner was very good with specialities we haven't found in other maroccan places.
