We were downtown, searching on our phones for the route to the riad, when a lady kindly asks us if she could help. By chance it was the lady of the riad who coincidentally walked there. She walked with us and gave us the most warm welcome you can imagine, including a historical tour through the riad and tea on the terrace. The riad is so lovely decorated. The bed and bathroom are great. The riad is very close to all the sights in Meknes. Because of an early flight we had to leave really early. The riad arranged a taxi perfectly on time with a breakfast to go. What a lovely stay!

The building feels like you’re staying in a castle. There is a heated towel rack, hand made soap, beautiful art work, stained glass windows-every attention to detail. The breakfast was fantastic! They were knowledgeable about and accommodated my gluten allergy. They even had several gluten free items such as bread and granola. This is the only place I saw gf bread in the 2 weeks in Morocco. Thank you! Beautiful, big roof top!

Amazing stay at the hotel, all staff and the owner were so nice. They accommodated our special request for vegetarian meals and this place was true oasis compared to busy Morocco. European level of cleanliness, quality linen and bedding. We actually extended pour stay by one more night because we liked the ambience.

Daniel, Sonja and their staff welcomed me like family! The guest house is beautiful, and the rooms very comfortable. Safe parking for vehicles, and only a short drive/ride to Volubilis. Delicious food and a wonderful atmosphere.

After Tangier, Chefchaouen, and Meknes, the town of Moulay Idriss was a wonderful break. The town was small and everyone was very friendly. A neighbor invited me to see him bake bread in a oven that has probably been used for thousands of years. The donkeys transport the produce and goods along the cobblestone streets. My tour of Volubilis was great. I got a guide to walk me around (at the site) and I’m glad I did. it’s an amazing place. One of the benefits of staying with Zikia is that you could go to Volubilis either early or late in the day and miss the bus crowds tha come in from Meknes and Fed. it made it a much better experience for me. Zakia is such a warm and wonderful host. She lives in Fez and came all the way to Mouley Idress (over an hour’s drive) because I had booked the room. She was me the amazing top floor with an amazing view of the mountains. You would feel like royalty in the room. Her breakfast was great for a small charge - a true Moroccan feast. I would highly recommend making a stay with Zakia a part of your trip to Morocco.

The was the best riad of our stay in Morocco. It’s the perfect central location and well signposted (which is quite rare in our experience!). The host was wonderful, with mint tea on arrival and many good recommendations for the city. The breakfast was amazing and we loved the rooftop seating area. The rooms were very traditional and very clean. I’d definitely be happy staying here again
