The remoteness of the property is simply amazing. Being pretty much by yourself in such a beautiful environment, surrounded by sights and sounds of nature, yet only around 7 minutes drive from Akaroa town center. There are some private walkways on the property through prime and pristine New Zealand landscapes, and you can easily link up to the Curry Track of the Purple Peak Curry Reserve. Also, lots of care has been taken to build, run, and maintain the property in an environmentally conscious and sustainable manner. The large bed is utterly comfortable, continental breakfast is provided (toast, butter, jams, fruit, yogurt, cereal, milk) as well as a kettle along with tea and coffee, a toaster, and a microwave. The wonderful deck has, besides a table and chairs, also two deck chairs and a gas barbecue, and the views all the way down onto Akaroa Harbour are fantastic all day round, boasting fantastic sunsets with the silhouette of the western mountain ridge of the Banks Peninsula as your end-of-day view.

We had a very comfortable stay at this Airbnb. The room, though not large, was very cozy. The bed was soft, and we slept very well. The room was also very clean and warm. The host, Vicky, was extremely friendly and recommended a great place for dinner. We had a wonderful night and would love to come back again!

The place was beautifully designed and clean. It had everything we needed during our stay. A very good continental breakfast was provided. Only 7 mins drive to town for food, very convenient location. Rose gave us a farm tour after we arrived. She was such a cheerful person, and very patient to my kids. She has two very loving dogs and my kids loved them. We had a Wonderful stay! Would highly recommend this place to everyone.

We stayed for 2 nights with Michelle and Steve and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The B&B is a bit remote, but in a good location for trips to the elephant rocks or Oamaru. Steve and Michelle were great and generous hosts. They provided toys for our daughter to play with and were always available for a friendly chat without being intrusive. Michelle is a great cook, dinner and breakfast were both delicious.

What a great place to stay and not only for one night... I loved it. Jill is a super host and very helpful and friendly. Everything was super clean and well organised. The WiFi was working perfectly.
