The host Raouf was so one of a kind and really made me felt like home. Do not expect the place like a hotel. Sidi bou Said does not have 5 star hotels but this place is like your summer house. Decorated with classical furnitures and elegantly artistic details. The rooms are specious, clean and beautiful. It is just 3 mins walk away from the center. We also exchanged with Raouf about cultures and the history of Sidi bou Said during breakfasts. One of my favourite stays as solo traveller.

A beautiful Dar in the centre of Sidi Bou Said located on a quiet but accessible side street just metres from the action. The property was beautiful and would be great value for money for up to 4 people. I stayed myself but was still worth it! I was blown away by the traditional architecture and style of the property. Unfortunately I could only stay 2 nights, I’d loved to have stayed longer. The host was very hospitable and helped me arranging payment as you cannot yet pay by credit card. I didn’t have a car, but they offered me free parking pass at the car park nearby.

The owner is very kind and recommended sights and restaurants to visit.

Both free WiFi and parking on-site are accessible at the bed and breakfast free of charge. The bed and breakfast has family rooms. The hotel is very central, beautiful and calm. A lovely room with a great breakfast I truly enjoyed my stay :) Will come back

Dar Fatma is a traditional Arabian house, which has been transformed into a boutique-style retreat. The air-conditioned rooms are set around the picturesque courtyard and each comes with a private bathroom and a TV. Absolutely gorgeous! The room was beautiful and large with a view onto the charming courtyard. There is a roof terrace with a pool and a view onto the sea and the stunning blue and white neighbourhood of Sidi Bou Said. The whole hotel was very clean and also very beautifully decorated. The staff we so kind and helpful to us. We needed a taxi into the city (it can be hard for a taxi to get into this neighbourhood due to a lot of pedestrian only streets, which of course makes it a wonderful place to walk around!) the owner has a connection to a local taxi that arrived right on time and knows how to get to the hotel. The location could not have been better. Just 3 minutes walking to the main shopping street full of restaurants and shops. The whole area felt so safe. I went walking at night by myself at 10pm, as a 28 year old woman alone. Well lit streets with a few friendly cats here and there, and the main street loaded with families and other women enjoying evening strolls.

The accommodation offers an air conditioning, a heating and a private bathroom. Love the location and privacy of this room! The Host went overboard to make sure I arrived safely and was available during my entire stay.
