Each rooms has direct access to the pool and rose garden. This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful, quiet, residential area about 7 minutes drive from the centre of Stellenbosch. The extension to the back of the original property has been tastefully done and the bedrooms and bathrooms have been finished to a high standard. The living room area where breakfast is served in the original part of the house has a real warmth to it, especially if the fire is going in the winter. The breakfast itself is substantial, so much so that I skipped lunch. The owner and the staff are delightful. Good value for money.

The beach is also just 50 metres away, offering a variety of water-sports and nature tours. Superb location, large bedroom, super comfy bed. Fantastic breakfast in Frances next door. Situated in Hermanus and only 28 km from Mt Hebron Nature Reserve, The Cliff Villa Boutique Guesthouse features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. With garden views, this accommodation provides a balcony. Guests can make use of the sun terrace or the outdoor pool, or enjoy views of the mountain and pool. Hands down the best stay I’ve had during my 10-day trip across South Africa. The location is great, but what really stood out was the value for money and attention to detail; disposable slippers, spotless fresh sheets, power adapters, USB sockets right by the bed, everything you could possibly need. The hosts were on another level of hospitality - warm, helpful, and genuinely caring. They didn’t just give recommendations, they offered help with little things like arranging my taxi and checking in to make sure I was comfortable. Even without those gestures, I would’ve been impressed. I’ve paid the same or more elsewhere for service that doesn’t come close. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Hermanus.

Everything about this well located guest house is excellent. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The host who checked me in was charming. The breakfast was delicious and perfectly cooked and there was plenty of options from the buffet table. There is a sparkling pool to cool off in and the gardens are picture perfect. The communication from the owner was prompt, giving direction before arrival, to dealing with all my requirements. If only everyone run there business like this it would be a pleasure to travel. I will definitely be using this guest house on all future visits to Cape Town. Can highly recommend.
