This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful, quiet, residential area about 7 minutes drive from the centre of Stellenbosch. The extension to the back of the original property has been tastefully done and the bedrooms and bathrooms have been finished to a high standard. The living room area where breakfast is served in the original part of the house has a real warmth to it, especially if the fire is going in the winter. The breakfast itself is substantial, so much so that I skipped lunch. The owner and the staff are delightful. Good value for money.

A fantastic guest house in the hills directly above Knysna. We felt very welcome at the Lazy Lion, and Ella and Ricardo were really superb hosts who gave us good recommendations for the town! The rooms were spacious and luxurious, and the lounge and the pool very inviting. When we are in Knysna the next time we will definitely stay at their lovely guesthouse again!

10/10, what an amazing hotel. Besides the friendliness of the owner, she knows what luxury is and has eye for detail. We felt like kings and queens during our stay. The other staff members are also amazing, we were surprised by how clean and organised the rooms were after every cleaning. Definitely a place where we would return.
