Opted to stay in a traditional Berber style accomodation, the rooms where clean and spacious. A charmy experience. A good plus, is the hotels hot spring which we found warming and perfect for an evening swim, especielly as we where here in the cooler months. Very enjoyable both for adults and children. The hotel also offers a good juice bar, liked the idé of utilizing herbs from their own grounds, such as lemongrass and mint. Dinner meals are very good, in which seating is on the floor, we also enjoyed this cultural experience. Overall, a very good stay with an enjoyable athmosphere, kind staff, ready to help with tour arrangments, transportation etc. Very much recommend. Kristian and Annika

Relaxing and beautiful place. Rooms are comfortable and decorated in good style. Hot spring pool in the property is a kind of luxury extra in the cold deserting evening. Owner is very kind and smart man with creative ideas, wide knowledge and big dreams, perfect person for conversations. Staying in this hotel feels more like staying in the friend's house. Accomodation is located on the edge of desert at the foot of the huge dune, so staying here is actually a desert experience. It was fantastic to climb the dune for sunset and have a fun with sandboard in the morning.

Fantastic day 1 base in Siwa, 15min walk or 20/30 egp tuktuk out of town centre well situated for an excursion to Amun Temple, Cleopatra spring and Gabal Dakrur sunset/sunrise mountain. Ahmed and his young family made it easy to checkin early after our Cairo nightbus, to do laundry and to plan excursions to Salt Lakes, hot springs and a desert safari. House is newly built with love and taste hence better standards than most other older guesthouses with a great bathroom and warm showers, breakfast was great boost too to start a day of explorations!

I was originally supposed to only stay one night at Paloma Lodge from 6 Nov to 7 Nov, but because I enjoyed my stay here so much, I decided to extend for 4 more nights, only checking out on 10 Nov instead. Paloma Lodge is very well located, with only about 5 mins’ walk away from Siwan town centre where all the restaurants, cafés and shops are located. Apart from that, it’s only a stone’s throw away from a fresh water spring, where it’s perfect for an early morning or mid-afternoon swim. The host, Captain Nair, is super kind, warm and hospitable! He made me feel very welcomed and because I was a solo female traveller, he would check on me when I’m out later in the evening. In fact, he invited me to dinners at the lodge with lovely meals, either prepared by the good Captain himself, or his lovely housekeeper, Safie! The lodge is very tastefully decorated and kept very clean. The one-room apartment that I stayed in was very cosy and was sufficiently equipped with kitchen appliances, such as; electric kettle, toaster oven and a fridge. I will definitely stay at Paloma Lodge again, when I come back to Siwa!! It was a very enjoyable and cosy homestay which felt like you are with family. A home away from home.

It was my first time in Siwa and staying at Tanirt Ecolodge made the trip unforgettable. The ecolodge is built in the traditional Siwan style, simple but full of character, and it feels completely in tune with the desert around it. My room was clean and comfortable, with the kind of quiet you can’t find anywhere else. Meals were homemade, fresh, and delicious. As a solo traveler, I really appreciated how the staff were kind and helpful without being intrusive. Evenings under the stars, with nothing but the sound of the desert, were the highlight for me. This is the kind of place you come to if you want peace, authenticity, and a real connection to Siwa.

Friendos house is a great get away from the city noises and perfectly located between dessert and farms. It offers a private hot spring and a family vibe. It's typical siwa style, simple and quiet. Very spacious room, homemade breakfast, very good. Adham and Sara were always there for me, lovely and generous. The visit to Siwa with Adham was really great and he showed me some beautiful places, it was perfect, I have wonderful memories of Siwa thanks to them.
