Christine & Jean Cluade were such warm & welcoming hosts. We felt right at home immediately. The house is spotlessly clean. It has everything you need and more. The garden is beautiful. I love roses myself, so I greatly admired theirs. The location was ideal to visit Pau city (Palace & funicular train), Salies to Béarn (salt water thermal spa) the caves in Bétharram ( Grottes de Bétharram), and the Artouste train 🚆 in the pyrenees We even managed to catch stage 14 of the tour de france 🇫🇷 in Pau I highly recommend Maison en Béarn. 10/10 👌

Thierry, the host, sent out someone to save me when I had a puncture 30km from his house - I didn't ask him, he just did it! This sums him up - not only does he wish to help, he CAN help. The apartment itself is in a beautifully restored maison de la Belle Epoch, The rooms are massive (including a 200+ square metre lounge and a large kitchen/dining room. Everything was spotless, I enjoyed some time in the garden listening to the Gave d'Oloron. The location is brilliant (just behind the Mairie but with parking. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Merci bien, Thierry.
