Comfortable (and big) bed, homely room and superb breakfast! The breakfast Was tasty and plentiful and the host makes his own sausages which were amazing. Hostess makes her own jams and marmalades, which are also available to buy (we did). This place isn't posh or modern, but it is comfortable, clean and friendly. We had a great stay. This guest house is in an ideal position to access various parts of the town on foot, yet is a nice quiet road (we stayed on a Saturday night). There is free parking outside from 6pm, and from 9am, you have 2 hours before traffic warden comes round, so 11am - ideal! The hosts are really friendly and helpful, with great advice on good places to eat locally. We will be returning.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cabin, it is very well equipped, clean and in a beautiful setting. In our busy lives it was lovely to be able to relax and enjoy the quiet time. The cabin was exactly as described.

Wonderful location in a 11th century castle! The host was super nice and hospitable and we got a free tour of the castle. Staying in such a location with such nice English people/hosts is a privilege. Continental breakfast was included and included fresh blueberries and strawberries, other fruit, yoghurt, cereal, toast, jam, honey, etc. On request we had toast with scrambled eggs and a full English breakfast, even gluten-free sausages and toast! The host also came to us during breakfast to make sure everything was fine and took the time to have a personal conversation. Location is very quiet and at night we heard an owl. The castle is located outside, but within walking distance of a very charming, picturesque English village, where there are nice places to have dinner and also charming shops and places to have a coffee. All in all, we certainly want to come back!

Beautiful location, total peace and tranquillity. Perfect, rural retreat. Lovely to see the deer walking around the property in the mornings. Very poor, patchy mobile phone signal which was great as allowed you to truly relax! Our hosts were very accommodating with our check in time due to the distance we were travelling and this was very much appreciated.

    The location was just outside the village, beautiful gardens and meadows all around. The breakfast was delicious. Beautifully cooked and presented in the elegant farmhouse dining room. Our rooms were extremely spacious and all the facilities spotlessly clean.

    Location is superb for visiting all that Devon & Cornwall have to offer. The lodge itself has been carefully designed and fitted with everything you could possibly need in a holiday home. Anne was very welcoming and left us a lovely welcome pack of home made cake, wine, milk and eggs. I’d highly recommend this place, go see for yourself just how lovely this place is. Oh and a very comfy bed which is key to a good holiday.
