From the moment I stepped through the front Door of Home from Home B&B, I was made exceptionally welcome by John & Val, the owners, nothing was too much for them to ensure my stay was pleasant & comfortable. The accommodation was spotless, exceptionally comfortable. Superb range of items available for breakfast, the full English was beautiful, the croissants, fresh & flaky and a fresh fruit salad to follow was delicious. John & Val were so easy to communicate with, a minefield of local information for those visiting on Holiday. I can categorically say that this is one of the finest B&B’s I have ever stayed in & I have stayed in quite few around the world. A Very apt name “Home from Home” because that is what it is. The WiFi was provided free of charge, everything just perfect, 10/10 👍

Pretty much everything. Warm welcome. Super clean room. Crisp, clean linen and fluffy, supersized towels. Very comfortable bed and excellent shower. The breakfast was the best we’d had on this trip

Location great, lovely and quiet. Ideal for setting off for walks. Loved the woodburner stove. The facilities inside the hut great, lovely big shower and bed was comfy. Thanks we will be back.

Warm welcome from the hosts. Some lovely touches in the accommodation including fresh cut flowers, cream tea and even sparkling wine! The while experience was 5 star from beginning to end. Faultless in every respect. The underfloor heating system was wonderful on cold March nights. The bed was very comfortable and the attention to detail obvious in every room. Very quiet location with private and secure car parking and a safe area outside the cottage for the dog. Just perfect. Definitely a place to which we would return if available when we are next in North Cornwall.

Amazing fresh modern property , so well kept , maintained and clean . Very comfortable and perfect size for the two of us . Outside space for sitting out as well as drying wet suites and beach ware . Our family of four had a truly lovely stay at Claire Cottage. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the owners, a kind and extremely friendly elderly couple who went out of their way to ensure we felt comfortable. They take great pride in the cottage, especially regarding cleanliness and care—it was spotless throughout. The location is fantastic, just a short distance from a beautiful beach and forest, making it ideal for peaceful walks and family outings. The cottage itself was cozy, very well maintained, and equipped with everything we could need. It felt like a true home away from home. The private garden was a real highlight—stunning and perfect for relaxing or enjoying a barbecue in the fresh air. During our stay, the tulips were in full bloom, adding to the charm. We were also touched by the thoughtful little extras, like tea, coffee, and delicious homemade biscuits waiting for us on arrival. We genuinely enjoyed every moment of our stay and were sad when it was time to leave. We would wholeheartedly recommend Claire Cottage to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and beautifully located place to stay. We’re already looking forward to coming back!
