Giulio was so helpful! He gave us a tour of the property, told us some stories about his parents who lived there and generally made us feel so welcome. There was a lovely box of snacks (pasta, toast, milk, wine) in the kitchen and they thankfully provided soaps and moisturizers too! I always forget soap when I travel and it’s always much appreciated when it’s there! He even checked in via text message over the weekend. It’s a magical place for anyone wanting a bit of peace and quiet with a lovely backdrop.

It was nicely furbished, with a big and really nice bathroom, easy parking, and a good location (close to the highway, close to Mantova). There were three rooms next to each other and a common kitchen. The bed was comfortable.

    Lovely friendly welcome from our hosts, although we arrived early, and they were happy to book us a table at a local restaurant for dinner. Breakfast was plentiful, and it was nice to sit and chat with other guests as well as our hosts. An easy 1km walk into the village for local bars, café's and restaurants.
