Absolutely fantastic apartment, with all necessary features, easy check-in (even in the night) and even easier check-out. Stunning views from the patio, kettle and tea/coffee ready, and super nice owners! If I knew a bit more about the hotel and the area, I would book a week, not 1 night! A place to come back for sure!

The location is very close to all the restaurants and shops in Stresa and a 10 minute walk to the ferry terminal. The accommodation is set in beautiful gardens with a stream running through with adds to the peacefulness. The house has everything you could need. The Lago Maggiore remains one of the most unsettling places in Europe. Isola Bella stands as a jewel of architecture, dreamlike, suspended, half-composed of hanging gardens illuminated by roses and blue peacocks. Imagine being able to contemplate Borromean islands, all different, historical but alive (‘neither quite the same nor quite another’, as Paul Verlaine wrote) emerging from a silvery lake, from an Olympian height, embracing the surrounding mountains with a single glance. Welcome. Sylvia, your host, perfectly organized and gently methodical, has a logical answer to each of your questions (even before your arrival). The gate opens, your car slowly drives down a gravel driveway, shaded by century-old trees, and the house appears, poised, facing a breathtaking scenery. The architectural terrace, overhanging, offers you this incredible view that you can enjoy from different perspectives, sitting on a bench, or in armchairs, hammocks or smiling blissfully in the modern outdoor jacuzzi. All the facilities are top of the line and explained by Sylvia in detail upon your arrival. Like on a ‘Carte du Tendre’, you can pick shady or sunny spots, isolated or close by, but always carefully thought out. The private wellness room on the ground floor includes all instruments and accessories: saunas, tropical showers, elliptical bike, massage chairs, etc. Later, going up to the small perched space that is dedicated to you (as long as you want to spend an exceptional moment, put the cursor at the maximum), you will find yourself in the middle of the vegetation, still enjoying the view, grandiose, from a small chalet, in a bright space optimized with taste. A fire in the wood stove, two flutes of Prosecco and gentle music will follow. A house designed by an Italian composer in a heavenly garden, pointing at the Borromean Islands with your loved one … if you’re romantic, what are you waiting for? Michel et Carine.

    Amazing location, within walking distance to everything. We were here for a wedding at the villa which was literally at the end of the road. Couldn't have been better. Also loved starting each day with a coffee (from the machine provided) out on the balcony with beautiful views. The place was clean and we immediately felt comfortable as soon as we arrived. Nothing to fault! Everything as expected from the photos.

    The apartment in the old villa is actually very bright (unlike the photo), with windows on three sides and two balconies. There are trees all around, and you can see the mountains and even the lake through the other houses. It is easy to find, on the quiet street, close to the station and the shop where the locals shop, 15-20 minutes walk to the port. The kitchen is equipped with the necessary utensils, spices and plenty of coffee. Nice hostess.
