Everything in the breakfast was homemade and delicious. The staff was very welcoming and kind. The rooms are large and comfortable and face the ocean view. The location is very convenient close to restaurants and other entertainments on the beach.

Very nice little house, a few steps away from the beach. It has a good balcony for the meals with a fantastic view, . Armando and Zacarias, the housekeepers, treated us very well. Despite some carelessness, the mattress is very comfortable and the mosquito net had no holes. It is worth it.

Simply the most incredible place we've ever stayed!! We spent a week in the Garden Cottage and absolutely did not want to leave...but we'll certainly be back! Everything about the cottage is perfect, lovingly decorated with lots of little touches and beautiful local art. The kitchen has everything you need to self cater, but there are plenty of great restaurants nearby and in the main town area (10-15 mins walk). I have to make a special mention of the bed - I don't think my partner and I have ever agreed on a mattress but this one was just right (soft enough for me, firm enough for him) and having a king size was a great bonus. The outside areas of the cottage are utterly charming - the outdoor bathroom is beautiful and we loved the feeling of showering in a little forest. The main garden area was a favourite spot and I spent a couple days working from the table and sofa there, plus a couple more reading in the hammock. There's strong, reliable internet throughout and I was able to work and have calls no problem. The beach is just a few steps away down a garden path, and there are a couple of little beach huts set aside for use by guests. It's a quiet part of the beach, but even so the beach huts are set back enough that they feel very private. The honestly car on site was super useful to pick up shopping and explore the area a bit more. Dave is a superb host and really has thought of everything! Be sure to ask him for tips on getting to Tofo Beach before you book transport.
