The host was really very kind. He moved us from one of the two rooms we had booked to the apartment because there was a festival going on in the village and the room was very noisy. The room and the apartment we had were really well-kept, very clean and well-furnished. We really had a wonderful time. In addition, the location was very convenient and central.

Although it’s off the beaten track it was a lovely 1 night stay. The hosts were super friendly. Our room was big and the bathroom next door was huge. We had a delicious breakfast delivered to our room with warm bread and I assume home produced eggs. The garden is beautiful. We went into a nearby town in the evening and hit lucky with a carnival and lots of live music.

My recent stay at De Kamer was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that Ilse and Jan had poured their hearts into creating a welcoming and enchanting haven for their guests. It was clear that Ilse and Jan had thought of every little touch to ensure a truly memorable experience. Their warm and genuine hospitality was what truly made the stay exceptional. Isle and Jan greeted us with smiles that made us feel instantly at home. They took the time to get to know us, offering valuable insights into the local area and suggesting hidden gems to explore. The tranquil ambiance of De Kamer combined with the heartfelt hospitality of Ilse and Jan, created an unforgettable experience that exceeded all expectations. I cannot thank them enough for making our stay so special. If you are looking for a charming retreat with hosts who go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, look no further than De Kamar. I have been very comfortable. The room, the porch, the entire establishment itself, were very well cared for, but the best thing, besides the breakfasts, was Willi's attention. Anyway, there is little more I can say, totally recommended for anyone who comes to Andijk.

It’s super spacious with plenty of bedrooms. Ideal for families. The house itself is located just perfectly as a base for cycling trips along the coast. Half an hour cycling to Enkhuizen - beautiful town with all one may need for the family. Cycling infrastructure around is just astonishing - both, for family barely-moving lazy cycles as well as long and quick speed bike trips. Ideal for kids who are just starting to cycle. Cycling routes are super safe - mostly completely separate for the car roads. But even if it is on a side if a road, it’s clearly color- marked and people around pay huge attention to cyclists on the paths. The house itself even has got a nice shed to keep your bikes in (it easily accommodated our four full size and one kid-size bike). Our family doesn’t know much about water sports , but you can clearly see that the area is full of options for those being seriously into sailing. The Owners are super friendly and helpful. Everything clearly described in few handy instructions. The apartment is fully equipped with whatever you may need. It’s warm and quiet (I love especially the last thing - QUIET ). We had fantastic few days there. I think we will be coming back.

Such a beatiful old house! The interior is very interesting and spacious, we loved it! Location is perfect, in the center of Hoorn and still it is quiet inside.     Comfortable vacation house in rec area close to Medemblik. Well maintained , with about everything you might need in the kitchen etc, including the free use of bikes. Comfortable beds. The friendly German owner opened the house for us and showed us around. Would rent again.
