everything place is clean, bed comfortable, there are storage spaces, bathroom is big with hot water, owner is almost always there to help, outside it is made for relax with mant places where to sit or lie down

We stayed at the best place in Kizimkazi village! Yasmin was amazing – she took care of everything for us, from organizing tours to making sure we didn’t miss the whales. It’s definitely worth asking her about anything you need. The house is cozy and pampering. In the mornings, we ordered delicious breakfast from Yasmin’s restaurant. We felt completely safe – there’s a guard on-site 24/7. The house is surrounded by forest, and the moment you enter the path leading to it, it feels like stepping into a fairytale. No doubt we’ll be coming back at the end of our trip. Thanks to the whole team – and big thanks to Mama Yasmin!

Absolutely amazing views from bed and restaurant, stunning beach sometimes overrun by tourists,bed comfy, room well designed, restaurant has very limited, expensive menu but tasty food, cocktails need improvement, very relaxing without hawkers, very unique surroundings

We really enjoyed our holidays in this charming hôtel. We were 2 families with teenagers. The hôtel is well located close to thé beach end village small and quiet with 2 swimming pool , very good for thé Price. Paula the owner is very Nice and advised us very well for all ! We strongly recommand !

I immediately knew from the photos that I wanted to stay here. This was my third stop on a two week solo trip in the south of Zanzibar The morning coffee on the private terrace, the fresh and clean pool, the comfortable sunbeds and the beautiful beach. Everything is so nice and the Mango House is very quiet and intimate with only nine guest rooms creating a close atmosphere. Note that if you like a more quiet place, Jambiani or Paje are typical tourist spots and might not be for you. I travelled off season but there are still alot of people around, and it can be a bit noisy in the mornings/nights, if you care about that. The breakfast is really good with a good menu to choose from. The dinner menu is also nice. The dinner was a little hit and miss, but that was my experience all over Zanzibar. One dish youbreally like can be "just ok" the next day. The chicken curry was my favorite. Beth and Dullah har created a very beautiful little oasis of good energy, and if you feel drawn to this place it is probably a sign that you should pay them a visit. They (Beth, Dullad and the rest of the staff) are super warm, friendly and inclusive and they are all very attentive to your needs without ever being pushy. I had several nice and interesting conversations with Beth during my six nights and Mango House. I was unlucky enough to get sick on my last day (when I was supposed to leave) and ended up with a short hospital stay. Being alone, sick and so far away from home felt a little scary but Beth and Dullah took great care of me and made sure I got to the hospital and that I had a bed and safe people around me when I got back as I wasn't able to leave that day even if my stay was actually over. Beth has even been checking up on me for days after I left to make sure I felt better and got home safely. I really recommend this to anyone thinking about visiting Zanzibar.

A hidden gem in Jambiani Beach. For us, the decision on where to spend our 4 days in Jambiani was between three different hotels. I am so glad we decided to stay at Zanzistar Lodge. This was also by far the cheapest out of the three options. The value for money can´t be beaten. We especially enjoyed the outside hammocks, the beach, the breakfast, the staff, the drinks and the cozy banana garden. Peter, one of the two managers, personally showed us every room. The luggage was taken care of by the staff and we even were invited to a welcome drink as we arrived. The beach bar has excellent food, great drinks and a perfect beach vibe. The beach was our favorite of all the beaches on the island. We went to Matemwe, Nungwi, Kendwa and Kizimkazi, but Jambiani was by far our favorite. The numerous colors of green and blue in the ocean is just spectacular. Thank you to all the staff that went out of their way to make us feel at home and took care of all of our needs. Take good care of them, as it is the people that make places like Zanzistar Lodge worth every penny. For us, we personally enjoy the small boutique hotels over the big resorts. The hospitality here was nothing else than outstanding. We hope to be back sometime in the near future.

LOCATION perfect - beachfront, you can every day make long walks at beach. HOTEL perfect - totally renovated hotel, everything is new and clean. STAFF perfect - absolutely incredible, they are helpfull, kind and make you feel like at home. Even now, a few days after my vacation I still have the feeling that guests really come first at the Kobe hotel. Everyone is very nice and helpful, if there is any problem, it was immediately solved. I spent three weeks in Zanzibar and travelled all over island but Kobe hotel left a really warm trace in me and if I return to Zanzibar I know I will visit Kobe hotel again. Due to the fact that the hotel unfortunately burned down and had to be rebuilt, the owners and the new staff involved in the rebuilding have been incredibly supportive and appreciative of every guest who arrives at the new hotel and they are one good team, no team, family. They really try to accommodate you in absolutely everything and fulfill your every wish, I recommend this hotel wholeheartedly.
