This was guesthouse perfection. We spent the Christmas there, and it exceeded all our expectations. Antonio was a wonderful host - welcoming, thoughtful, charming. Everything was spot on starting from cleanliness, location, privacy, complimentary goods, our welcome letter... Our room was tastefully decorated with beautiful furniture, design items and interesting art. It was just to my/our taste! We loved breakfast by the pool where we got spoiled with fresh croissants and tasty local goods. The attention to detail in this place is incredible. We will definitely be back, and would recommend the place to friends, family, and anyone who is heading to Riebeek-Kasteel and appreciates the finer things in life. Thank you so much for making our romantic little Christmas getaway perfect!

We had an amazing stay at Cottage in the Valley. It’s beautifully decorated, very comfortable and great garden/ views. We loved the pool, which is very welcome given the relatively high temperatures in summer. Phil, who manages the estate for the owners was great, responding very quickly to all our questions. So all in all a great stay and highly recommended!

I have been travellinga lot in ZA during the last 18 years and therefore rented many cottages. This cottage is certainly one of my three favourites. As soon as one enters the house it is obvious with how much care, love and intelligence everything is thought out. Nothing cheap but very comfortable bed, nice and enough plates, cups, glasses, knives that cut, great thick bathtowels, nice light at night and spactacular view from the balcony. All that topped by a highly appreciated welcoming very good bottle of wine and some nice chocolates and kind and good advice by Anabela. I wish I had booked for a month ! Gareth and Grant run an exceptional operation - the property is in immaculate condition, and the facilities are a sublime blend of comfort and function. Yet focusing only on the room or property itself would do massive injustice to the next level hospitality of the hosts.
