Staying at Cabañas Dechi was one of the highlights of my trip. They have a lake filled with fishes and the famous Pirarucu. The cabins are cozy, clean, beautifully set in nature and close to the Amazon river, but what makes this place unforgettable is Nancy, her husband Charlie and all the family. They welcomed me with genuine warmth, sharing their time, stories, and care. Thanks to them, I left with a full heart and the feeling that I’ll always have a home in Puerto Nariño!

Super sweet owner, she helped us a lot with our stay in Leticia, we had a great time thanks to her! She even went to get us with her car as we were stuck outside Leticia and stored our baggage while we were in the Amazonas. Property is very clean, nothing to complain. We happily went back for another night.

We felt very welcomed by the community. We took few of the excursions offered by La Ceiba, again, really thoroughly enjoyed the guides and what they showed us. We had excellent meals every day. This was our second time in Mocagua, would not hesitate to come back again.

We recently had the pleasure of renting a stunning modern house that exceeded all expectations. From the moment we stepped through the sleek front gate, we were captivated by the contemporary design and attention to detail. The house boasted state-of-the-art amenities, including a spacious and fully equipped kitchen with a stylish fridge that added a touch of luxury to our stay. The air conditioning system provided a welcome escape from the outside heat, ensuring our comfort throughout the day. One standout feature was the commitment to safety. The property was equipped with a robust security system, including cameras strategically placed to monitor the surroundings. The large gate added an extra layer of security, providing peace of mind during our stay. The interior design seamlessly blended modern aesthetics with functionality, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The open floor plan allowed for a sense of spaciousness, while the large windows brought in an abundance of natural light, creating a bright and airy ambiance. Overall, our experience in this modern house was nothing short of exceptional. It combined style, comfort, and security seamlessly, making our stay both enjoyable and worry-free. If you're looking for a contemporary retreat with all the conveniences of modern living, this house is a fantastic choice.

Casa 1090 ubicada cerca a todo. Bevindt zich in Leticia, en biedt accommodatie met airconditioning, een balkon en gratis WiFi. This is a nice condo in easy walking distance to many stores, parks and restaurants. We stayed there after a multi-day excursion in the jungle and it suited our needs perfectly. For those from the US, the washing machine is a bit odd, but we figured it out. It's worth noting that one of the bedrooms is outside of the AC zone. All of the beds are comfortable and the wifi was good. The host was very responsive.

De locatie is prachtig. Naast de rivier, met een prachtige zonsondergang, direct naast het oerwoud, onder een prachtige sterrenhemel. Bij het hostel nemen ze je mee de bossen in of dolfijnen kijken. Er wordt met je meegedacht en gezocht naar een mooie ervaring waarbij je de schoonheid en rust van de amazone kunt ervaren.

Hostal Ebenezer Macedonia bevindt zich in Macedonia, in een gebouw dat dateert uit 2018, en biedt een tuin en kamers met gratis WiFi. From the moment we were greeted at the riverside by our host upon arrival, until the moment we left, we have been treated with kindness and warmth by our host, his family and the wider community. You see that the community is keen to have tourists stay in Macedonia such that they can then use the funds to progress their community projects. For this reason alone I’d recommend this as a base from which to explore the Amazon rather than staying in Leticia. Sure you could get on a group tour from Leticia which herds you quickly through the various communities on the river but you’d be missing out on so much and only a small portion of your funds would be directly helping this community. Lie back in a hammock, listen to the forest and escape the bustle of everyday life. Highly recommend the tours they run. No agencies are involved, our host just gets the locals with the relevant expertise to conduct the tour / activity. There were only ever the 2 of us on any given tour / activity and we did many of them including night walk, animal sanctuaries, fishing, visit to see the sloths, way of life experience etc so you really are getting the personal touch. Our host provided boots for the muddier walks, good binoculars when needed and flashlights. If you are here on a weekend make sure you are around one of the afternoons to watch the community football and volleyball - Great fun. The heat and mosquitos were no way near as bad as we were expecting but we did take the standard recommended precautions (hats, long sleeves, mosi repellant etc). The meals are expertly prepared and delicious. Recommend to bring good earplugs, roosters wake up early! Muchas Gracias!!!!
