There is a coral reef right in front of the property. Watching the sunsets and sunrises from the balcony/terrace area is a treat incomparable. The food was delicious. Internet was surprisingly very reliable. The host is great.

We spent a whole week there and didn’t want to leave. The place is beautiful and well kept up. The pool was refreshing, with comfortable loungers. Judith, the cook and housekeeper provided excellent service and delicious food and cocktails. We had the big room on the second floor with the spacious private deck and loungers.

Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. We had a very stressful day on Isla Grande, getting lost on the island and missing our ferry home. The staff at El Hamaquero Hostal were amazing and so helpful! They managed to fix us a private dorm and arranged for a boat to collect us the next day from the hostal without any stress. It ended up being the highlight of our Cartagena trip, so relaxing and beautiful. I cannot recommend this Hostal enough, 10/10!!
