This is the perfect place to stay if you want to get to know the real Sal and its people. The owners went above and beyond to make me feel not only welcome, but truly at home. The room was super comfy, and the food was always delicious (be sure to try one of Candida's secret recipes for dinner, if you get the chance). I was provided with all the help and advice I needed in order to explore the island, and Candida and Martin personally took me to places that only local people know about. If, like me, you prefer a quiet, remote beach over those crowed, touristy ones: there's a small one just a short bicycle ride away – although I usually opted for a walk through to beautiful steppe landscape to get there. If you prefer spending your days with the other tourists down in the south of the island: Santa Maria beach is only 20 minutes by bus – which may sound complicated at first, but is actually super fun and convenient (and it only costs 1 Euro). I could go on praising this place for two weeks (which is actually the amount of time I stayed), but I'll just stop here – not without saying: Thank you, Candida & Martin, for the wonderful time at kleine schweiz! Super comfortable beds, nice shower, and the smell of cleaning and fresh in all the linen and towels is amazing. The decor makes you feel at home, with a beach twist, of course. Loved everything. The host Nany, is also spectacular taking care of everything

Very well located, clean and all you’d expect for a nice stay is there. Peter is a great host, very helpful and knowledgeable of the area. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone spending holidays in Santa Maria!

Absolutely amazing! The apartment is so beautiful, clean and well stocked! We stayed for 30 days and the apartment was absolutely brilliant. The pool and restaurant and SOOOO NICE!! The beach being so close is such an amazing feature too! PERFECT

It is a large apartment with a balcony and a comfy double bed in the double room with an on suite bathroom. Another room with two singe beds and a separate bathroom. Equipped kitchen, iron gear. Checkin checkout and driver Elton is fantastic and the support of Ruth agency Grăo d’a Sal is extraordinary 💪 I have done several tours with them and have felt every moment supported and safe.
