The host greeted us and had time for a chat and to show us around. There is a comfortable common area where you can sit and unwind. The room was very clean, spacious and we had the best sleep! The highlight of the stay was a fantastic breakfast- there was a choice of sourdough breads, yoghurt/berries, fantastic cooked Irish breakfast and the host even organised crepes for my 10 year old! I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who wants to explore Sligo while staying in a tranquil, cozy location with a fantastic lake view, comfortable beds and excellent breakfast!

It's a top class b and b, beautiful house, lovely and spacious and modern and clean..couldn't fault one thing .breakfast was so good ..people were so kind and warm...super stay ..would look forward to going back

Her experience and attention to detail shines throughout this luxurious Guest House. Very welcoming, spotless throughout and bedrooms are very well kitted out with all the facilities that you would find in a top class facility. Her breakfasts are delicious 😋 with a great selection available. Well done and we highly recommend a stay here .

Anything we needed was promptly provided (extension cord, floor heater). She cooked us a traditional Irish breakfast and it was delicious! The country setting was quiet, beautiful and picturesque. We genuinely enjoyed our stay at the Amber Inn.

Probably best one we have rented out of 40 houses over the last 20 years in various countries. Well equipped. Hosts could not have been nicer or more helpful. The local village is fine and has everything you need. No reason to leave the house though. We were three generations staying in the house and everyone was happy (amazing!).

We were lucky to spend our weekend with friends in this beautiful place. Everything was very clean and cozy ,we felt at home from the first moment. We had a wonderful time, especially enjoying the BBQ on the veranda and the stunning view of the lake, which is also very close by. It’s so peaceful and calming, right on the lake. Micheal the owner checked on us now and then as we were 5 females aged 16-65 on our own we really appreciated that !Lovely kind man! It was large, clean and really well equiped. We were met by Hazel , she was so sweet and had the cottage heated and welcoming, even a nice welcome cake.
