And there is a reason for this - this was the best homestay I stayed at in India and it wasn't even close! The family are so warm and kind. I ate dinner and breakfast both days and the food was AMAZING. Jubia is a talented cook. Rooms are spotless and a good size with a balcony. The only negative thing you will see people mention in their reviews is the homestays distance from Munnar. But not me! Munnar is nice, but it is BUSY. Buses, cars, people, noise, honking. This homestay is so picturesque and quiet all you can hear is birdsong. I wanted a peaceful stay in the western ghats and this is exactly what I got. The bus to Munnar is 35rupees and takes 40 minutes with unreal views all the way and they are every 10 minutes so getting there is easy. There is lots to do in the area and the family can help organise excursions too if that is what you're after. I was fortunate enough on one of mine to see 5 wild elephants drinking in the river which will stay with me forever. Thank you Jubia, Jaan and family for an amazing stay.
