Thank you so much for providing both pickup and drop-off! The owner was incredibly kind and friendly. Even though I went alone, I was able to enjoy the BBQ for 5,000 yen, and I bought some firewood separately to stay warm. The breakfast and BBQ prepared by the staff were both delicious! I visited in late October, and it was a bit chilly at night. There was a kerosene heater, but I think I set the timer wrong—it kept turning off every 10 minutes. Also, there was a slight kerosene smell. But the view was absolutely amazing, the accommodation was adorable and beautifully decorated, and the bedding was clean and comfortable. Sharing a restroom wasn’t a problem either. It would be nice to have rubber gloves for washing dishes! All the staff were very kind and helpful. If I visit Fuji again, I’ll definitely come back here and recommend this place to my friends.

The accommodation features free shuttle service, full-day security and luggage storage for guests. Experiencing a Ryokan was amazing and Onyado Yuinosho is the perfect place for it, the staff is incredibly nice and accomodating, the food is incredible, the rooms and facilities are so fancy and pretty and atmosphere is so relaxed and cozy! They give you all sorts of amenities, they have free ramen at night, coffee, yogurt drinks and they even leave local candy to try inside the room! They also have vending machines for soft drinks/coffee/tea and alcohol! The meals they serve are extremely tasty and fancy with beautiful window views of the mountains! The private onsen rooms are beatiful and relaxing! The two nights we spent there were the highlight of our trip! Absolutely must recommend this place if you plan to visit Shirakawa-go!

Takayama Old Town and Miyagawa Morning Market are a 10-minute walk, while Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village is a 10-minute drive away from Guest House Ouka. The property is a 8-minute walk from Takayama Nohi Bus Centre, where guests can take a bus to Shirakawa Village. The guesthouse had everything you could wish for: books, computers, a guitar and even some sauces to use in the fridge. Coffee powder as well. So many things to do. It really felt homey as well.

The private Onsen and dinner in our room were some of the highlights of our trip and they were very accommodating to our dietary requirements. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, special mention to our room clerk Etsuko who made us tea on arrival and served our meal. We were lucky enough to see Mt Fuji on our first day, and the rooftop footbath was much needed after all our exploring!
