Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). It has a beautiful Japanese garden and a large living room, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Our friendly mascot cat will welcome you! The guesthouse was very clean, spacious and offered an included light evening meal and breakfast. The kitchen was spotless and every detail taken care of. The property was in a good location and the staff were friendly and helpful. Costs were very reasonable for what was offered and I recommend the guesthouse and would stay there again.

The location was beautiful and it’s very close to the walking path to Miyajima Ropeway. Upon arrival, they gave us a list of restaurants open late at night, which was very helpful! I only stayed one night but wished I stayed for two!

The host is very helpful and just a very nice person to spend some time with. The whole place is cozy and has a very chill vibe. I recommend this for people who like to meet people during their travel and who also like to experiance staying in a family house. There is a very nice shared kitchen area for people to meet. During our stay the guests were really quiet in the evening, so there was no problem with the noise.

This is an exceptional property for relaxing. We stayed 2 nights and had a great time.

Boasting a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. The guest house features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. The landlord is extremely kind. When I moved in, he gave me a detailed introduction on how to use the room. There's a clean kitchen, a living room with a TV, and a huge bedroom—it's fantastic! The landlord even lent me a bicycle, allowing me to explore the Yokai City in Sakaiminato freely! What's more amazing is that the landlord is actually from New Zealand! When he learned my name is Kiwi, he looked astonished. When I showed him my kiwi bird profile picture, we high-fived excitedly! What a wonderful coincidence! He kept showing me the New Zealand elements in the house, and there were really many!

This was a beautiful room, very attractive design, spacious and in a perfect area for touring Kurashiki. It is exactly as pictured. The beds were comfortable and everything was immaculate. Check in was easy. Good communication with hosts, and restaurant recommendations, which was helpful. It’s not a hotel per se, and so no meals included but they provided a basket of fruit and baked goods daily and coffee, so that was perfect for breakfast. It was all we needed. The seating area has a good view over the canal so you could not be better situated.
