Το Gal Oya Lake Club βρίσκεται σε Paraganakele και είναι ένα κατάλυμα με θέα στην πισίνα. Προσφέρει εστιατόριο, υπηρεσία δωματίου, μπαρ, κήπο, εξωτερική πισίνα που λειτουργεί όλο τον χρόνο και... Absolutely brilliant! The service from everyone from the time we arrived was exceptional, so friendly and welcoming, and assisted and advised with anything. The facilities are great, nice clean swimming pools, the grounds are very nice and the rooms were great-large, immaculate and good facilities, and great to see the sustainability such as refillable stainless steel drink bottles instead of plastic. The restaurant was very good, and reasonably priced. The activities arranged were good, the lake safari seeing elephants and many birds. And using the kayaks on the lake from the jetty right out front was great (we didn’t try the fishing, but that was another option). And of course just the peace and quiet location to relax in luxury. The children’s favourite was Ronnie, the very friendly dog.

Wonderful property and host! Iqbal and his staff were so warm and welcoming! They went above and beyond making sure I felt comfortable and enjoyed my stay! I was welcomed with delicious pineapple juice and a pastry. I ended extending my stay because it was such a warm and cozy place to spend a few days at the beach. Beach access is a few meters away. Iqbal also arranged surf lessons to peanut farm and I couldn’t recommend them enough! Best surf coach I’ve ever had! The room was very clean and spacious with hangers for wet clothes and storage. The hammocks outside each room are a very nice touch and relaxing. Each morning, the breakfast was very good and tasty! Lots of fresh fruit! Whatever you need, Iqbal and his team will take care of. Had a lot of nice chats with Iqbal. He will be missed! Wish I could stay for longer. Will definitely be back to this cozy piece of paradise.

Το Charitha Rest βρίσκεται σε Ampara και διαθέτει κήπο, κοινόχρηστο χώρο lounge, βεράντα καθώς και δωρεάν WiFi. Charitha organized two boat safari for me at very very short notice. Both were absolutely fantastic (apart from a fellow tourist who would not stop talking, unaware of needing to be quiet when viewing animals and the etiquette of how to behave on a Safari). The boat safari is breathtaking. I saw an elephant crossing from one island to another and a few small herds. Very magical! The guest house is in a very small village surrounded by jungle. Extremely peaceful and a fabulous place to stay the night. Charitha's family is adorable and so friendly and he will go out of his way to help you in any way he can. He organized a car to take me to Arugem Bay and even accompanied me. I did look at other options of where to stay but this was extremely close to the Boat Safari, only a 10 minute ride which he also organized and I'm thrilled that I picked this guest house. Incredible value for money and a highlight of my trip !

Bashir was a fantastic host and the room was superb with a nice balcony to chill on. Everything worked as it should. Location was great for us, just out of the centre so quiet but a very short walk to the majority of restaurants.

The owner was amazing and helped out so much! I was able to speak with him to extend my stay because it was so clean and comfortable. Embarrassingly I had ran out of fuel in my scooter and he was gracious enough to take to get fuel on his scooter. Can’t recommend this place enough!

The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and tidy. The host was friendly and helpful. The place is near the beach and restaurants. The room looked nice and was equipped with a mini bar and A/C. Nice place to relax. I recommend this place to anyone.

Το Azeer's, που προσφέρει δωρεάν WiFi, κλιματισμό, κήπο και ιδιωτική παραλία, βρίσκεται σε Arugam Bay. A hidden gem! My husband and me loved this place. The host is very welcoming and will help with anything. We've been there for a whole month and couldn't ask for more: fully equipped kitchen, sleeping room with air con, an own backyard with lots of palm trees, beautiful sunrises and a big deck upstairs. The house is actually at the beach, so you can watch the ocean anytime. Highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place.

Private location, extremely helpful and polite owner and staff, authentic Sri Lanka beach life vibe, everything was clean and tidy, Iroshana helped us with just about anything we could think off from arranging breakfast, barbeque dinner, recommending surf bays and trips to conversations about Sri Lanka ways of living. Thank you for everything, we will always remember and hope to come back one day.
