Iqbal and his staff were so warm and welcoming! They went above and beyond making sure I felt comfortable and enjoyed my stay! I was welcomed with delicious pineapple juice and a pastry. I ended extending my stay because it was such a warm and cozy place to spend a few days at the beach. Beach access is a few meters away. Iqbal also arranged surf lessons to peanut farm and I couldn’t recommend them enough! Best surf coach I’ve ever had! The room was very clean and spacious with hangers for wet clothes and storage. The hammocks outside each room are a very nice touch and relaxing. Each morning, the breakfast was very good and tasty! Lots of fresh fruit! Whatever you need, Iqbal and his team will take care of. Had a lot of nice chats with Iqbal. He will be missed! Wish I could stay for longer. Will definitely be back to this cozy piece of paradise.

Situated 300 metres from Arugam Bay Beach, Starfish Cabbana offers accommodation with a balcony, as well as a garden. My cabana was modern and clean, with a nice small terrace which I enjoyed a lot, together with the garden. Delicious breakfast every morning and great help from the staff. I'd definitely book again here if I come back to ArugamBay.

The staff is the best, always helpful and smiling. Nisha has made us feel at home, we had an amazing time! The breakfast is great, it changes everyday. The location is 10 minutes walk from the centre but you have restaurants and bars all around. If you surf, main point is 10 minutes by tuk tuk or you have another spot called the wedge just in front of the guest house. It is great to be outside of the crowd of the main road as you can’t hear noises and have a great sleep.

The place is located right at the beach and around there is pretty much just nature - we loved it! The manager was so friendly and even showed us wild roaming elephants in the afternoon, an unforgettable experience! The Cabana itself was perfect: it was clean, had a special atmosphere because you are sleeping „outside“ but even tho there was no AC it‘s not too hot at night. The common area had some books and games you could use which was also really cool. The food choices were limited (offseason) but the meals were just fantastic - 10/10! All in all: 100% recommend this place!

This accommodation is off the Main Street, which meant it was quiet at night. The aircon was very welcome and bottled water is available at the hotel, meaning I didn’t have to bring it in. The owner / manager is very accommodating and helpful. He answered all of my questions and made me feel very comfortable. He assisted me in finding a car to drive to my next location for a very reasonable price. Next time I will stay in Arugum Bay for longer and definitely back at the Bavarian Resort. Highly Recommended

My husband and me loved this place. The host is very welcoming and will help with anything. We've been there for a whole month and couldn't ask for more: fully equipped kitchen, sleeping room with air con, an own backyard with lots of palm trees, beautiful sunrises and a big deck upstairs. The house is actually at the beach, so you can watch the ocean anytime. Highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place.

The comfort is simple but everything you need is there: clean toilets, fridge, large open-air shower with good water pressure, and electric sockets in the rooms. Exactly what we were looking for — the feeling of being alone in a small paradise of nature. An endless beach with no one around, a starry sky at night, and a stunning sunrise over the ocean for early risers. Extras like a beach volleyball court with ball available, hammocks, and very attentive staff made the stay even better. The owner also organized two unforgettable activities for us: one of the best safaris we had in Sri Lanka at Kumana National Park, and a peaceful boat trip on the Panama lagoon, which felt like friends showing us around their home.
